Sequentis Family/Balebessio

History

Balebessio was one of the first people to take up the family name. He is serving currently in Minas Ithil.

Personality

Unlike Morahack who is driven to warfare or Galeshenda who is driven to money Balebessio is more unsure of what he should do to help the family name. He hopes to find what his calling by serving in Minas Ithil. He is smart and trusting to people he knows well. Loyal and fierce to those he cares about he often is too willing to forget his position in life and take actions considered dishonorable to achieve what he sees as justice as for him understanding and fairness are justice. He can defeat himself with his own self doubt if left alone with his thoughts however he is open to the thoughts of others liking always to get different perspectives on everything before making any decision.

Known for being cautious in most things he uses this reputation to his advantage by taking people by suprise with his sometimes sudden and foolhardy sporadic actions. He is a lover of theological,philosophical and intellectual debates being a self taught scholar. Balebessio holds the peasantry in rather high regard for a noble, seeing them as the foundations and true power of any kingdom. He often looks for the unnoticed talent which lies within them regularly taking promising people and nurturing their abilities.

Retinue

Nala(Sequentis)

Nala is Balebessio closest servant and closest friend. She is the same age as Balebessio and has been at his side for as long as anyone can remember. Originally a simple peasant girl nothing is known about how the two met. She is quiet and a bit shy around people she does not know but she is very bright(this is the expected reason why Balebessio took her in)and is very confident, outspoken and casual with people she does know and is totally dedicated to Balebessio. Nala is quite beautiful with short black hair and big, roundish, black, depthless eyes. She is short and lithe and you would not guess at her heritage unless she spoke and her common accent which still lingers gave her away. Nala was made an honorary member of the Sequentis family, a move by Balebessio which caused uproar at the time. However after Balebessio fiercely defended her and his decision(he would have killed had she not forbidden him to do so) she was accepted and the insignia was placed on her right hand.

Nala does everything for Balebessio. Cook, clean, organize and she even advises him on matters of the nobility. There is nothing Balebessio keeps from her. However there relationship is only of the closest of friends(shown by how openly they talk and act to each other)

Nala has one passion above anything else and that is collecting antiques. She loves ancient things and hearing their history. She regularly makes Balebessio bring her on shopping sprees in antique shops as part of her payment as his servant.
