Brief History of Sartania

One can look in many ways to Sartania, but the start were we look at these days. (Atleast in this newspaper) is the start of a "new Sartania" the day the rebellion succeeded and pontifex Edward was chased away from Sartania. I will tell you my story, the story of Ascanius, now pontifex of Sartania and leader of that rebellion. Edward had done to many bad things both in his own realm as outside and after several months of planning we saw the right chance to start a rebellion. So I did. Great honor should be given to Jannes Danelawer as well for his involvement in the rebellion. He was general of Sartania at that time and has done a great deal in planning the rebellion as executing it. We won the rebellion, that is known to all who live on the Far-East in that time, only not all know of the changes we made. I decided to never get a dictatorship as Edward had inside Sartania and the first rule we made was that no family would hold 2 positions in our realm. This included region lords and council positions. This also gave oppertunities to many "new" nobles who had shown great courage and commitment, but were overlooked by our former pontifex. A new order was created in Sartania, one of brotherhood and one of equal rights. Freedom of speach was put into Sartania (as long as one kept it respectfull). Not only the council, but the entire realm got to know each other better and got more active. I felt, really felt I was part of a great group of people and I'm honored to lead such great men and wimon. Even now we fight as one and we discuss everthing inside our council. Discussions are made, but done with respect to each other. Battles are fought, but even there Sartanian nobles show respect for their enemies. Newspaper

Today, Sartania decided to open up their own newspaper. It is going to be a place where nobles of Sartania can remember thier achievments and days of glory as there are going to be too many to remember by memory. It is also going to be a place where newcomers can see what is happening in the realm and a place where other realms can see how much of a mistake they have made by declaring war with us or how glad they are that they are allied with us. The SHS?

The Swift hand of Sartan, or the SHS, is a new battle group of Sartania. They are hopefully going to form the elite group of troops and nobles from Sartania who are ready, as the name implies, to attack quickly at a moment notice. It has many higher ups of Sartanias realm, including many lords although there are also some willing new-comers in this army to make up numbers but also because they have shown potential. They have already had thier first battle after less than a week of been created and if things carry on as they are, this Armie should be a force to be reckoned with. Battle in Nocaneb!

Attackers-Sartania Defender-Arcaea Total combat strengths: 10154 vs. 5146 Attacker Victory Forces of Sartania attacked Nocaneb yesterday in a two-turn move. A region good defendable by it's lvl 4 walls. Today was the first battle under the command of the new General Talon. Despite the two-turn move nobody turned up early and just about everyone arrived on time. The result of this was the anniahlation of Arcaeas unfortunate troops. Many of Arcaeas nobles were injured or captured even though they put up a great fight. Despite overwhelming odds, many held out for 3 hours against the forces of Sartania. However, their efforts were not enough and so Sartania emerged victorious. The Arcaean nobles were driven away from the battlefield and Sartania initiated a TO in Nocaneb to proclaim the region for their own and as a begin to destroy the terrorizing forces of Arcaea. Turn three of the Take Over of Nocaneb All the Arcaean nobles have left the region of Nocaneb and have retreated to Remton, probably for refit. The militia of Nocaneb, what is left of them, has taken up arms again and tried to overthrow the Sartanian army. But this small militia force did not stand a chance against the Sartanian army and were defeated and driven from the battlefield again real quickly. The resistance of Nocaneb is still falling, yet the locals remain loyal. The Take Over continues. Isabelle Carver 19:27, 27 October 2007 (CEST) Takeover failed This morning, the Takeover in Nocaneb failed as the peasents continued thier heavy resistance. Sartanias forces are finally falling back; with a smile of victory on thier faces. Why you may ask. Well, i'll give you the speech from Sartanias very own general. Good job to everyone and their men in this mini campaign. We accomplished a few things I'd like to make known: 1. Arcaea was taking Larmebsi over from Ethilia. When we assaulted Nocaneb they rushed post haste from their TO to defend their northern border. So your efforts saved Ethilia the loss of another region. 2. We took Nocaneb in a glorious battle. It was well organized, no one arrived early, and we brought siege engines this time. The battle was truly one for the records, and showed the entire continent the military might of Sartania. 3. The Militias in Nocaneb were destroyed, along with 50%ish of the walls. That will cost Arcaea a lot of gold. 4. We (from the looks of it) were able to muster such an offensive, and were still able to defend our northern border with ease from Arcachons incursion. All in all, a very successful campaign. You should all be proud. And we are all proud, maybe next time eh? Isabelle Carver
