Sarmiento Family/Ares Audax

Ares Audax - Deceased. Executed in Beluaterra by the dishonorable Jean II. Tricked by the prospects of repairing a unique item, he was beaten, jailed, and quickly executed.

Stable hand in the family mansion who became the adopted 'son' of Sebastian after the poor boys parents were slaughtered by a Casshern raiding party. After nearly twenty years of servant work in the Sarmiento household, Ares Audax has set out to make his way in the world for himself. A commoner's life of adventure, fighting dangerous monsters and undead kings is much more thrilling that shovelling manure.

A.A. therefore said his goodbyes and struck out on a life of adventure in Belluaterra. Unable to read and write, he simply takes things day by day, making sure he has enough coin in his pocket to buy food and lodging.

Equipment

Not being of noble birth, A.A. never received the wonderous gifts that his 'brothers' received. He therefore has fashioned his own weaponry. Made of sturdy oak and scraps of fine metals, A.A. wields a gunstock, Gaedria's Heart. As its name suggests, this weapon was carved from the heart of the fabled tree(the same as the shield of Geraldo). The black color reflects the strength and density of the heart of the oak from which this weapon was crafted.

He is commonly cloaked in the fur of a savage animal which he has defeated in combat. Typically a bearskin cloak covers his back while he wears a dirty coat of sorts, fashioned from deerskin.
