Rune Casting

The art of rune casting has long been practiced in Vyanar of Asylon. The "Willow Casters" draw stones from a sack and lay them out in a cross shape. Before each stone is cast the "Asker" also know as the "Devotee" would ask a question. The stone drawn is the answer to the question and guides the caster to the answers for the "Devotee". Willow Casters are fortunetellers that provide this service to the locals not educated in the art of casting. Willow Casters wear black as to be bystanders and guides to the ritual not key players. The Willow Caster does not touch the stones until after the question has been asked and the Devotee taps a carved vyanar deer horn with a stick. This signifies that the question has been asked and that the Devotee is satisfied with the question.
