Zuma no longer a treat!
Following a period of tension, The Republic is once again safe from our foreign treat.

Thanks to Marshall Coturnix and his excelency Grand Doge Tacin well placed words a daring conflict was sucsesfuly evaded. Initially, the Zuma demanded a ridiculous amount of food and a cease fire with the north. We aperently destroyed the balance because of our ambitions to expand our teritory and increase our borders. None of this was obviously true and the misunderstanding was aperently settled after signing a cease fire with the realms of Terran and D'Hara.

The waging war was about a territorial conflict about Paisly and Port Raviel, former duchies of the Republic. Due to a Stale mate around Paisly, involvement of Cearwyn and a decrease of Madina's Military force, no battles have been fought for a long time.

Things are proceeding as normal and attention is now being fixed on fighting bandits, monsters and other wild incursions that have been terrorizing the Republic for the last few weeks.

More agonizingly, around nine hundred peasants died, under which almost half where children and infants. Thanks to a strong management from Governor Sage, economy has once again restored and it's harbors booming of traffic.

Many jobs are now open for it's citizens and average wealth is due to increase. The local warehouses report that "The city is prepared for monsoon(winter) season"

Fatmilak Revolts from Fatmilak duchy
Due to a lack of local lord for several weeks and high local taxes, the region of Fatmilak suffered from a peasant revolt who took control over the local tax office and declared independence.

Some nobles react annoyed as they say this could easily been prevented. Governor Fionn has not reacted to the situation, so it remains unclear if an army will be sent to resecure the region. Noone has stepped forth to claim the region him self, however there are nobles who've expressed the need of retaking the region in an act of revange upon the local peasantry. Things do not look well for the local population, severe forms of violent repercussion will be suspected from these noblemen.

Tensions between Cearwyn and it´s independent Colony of Asylon grow
Since the latest noble rebellion in Asylon lead by a noblemen called Glaumring Apasurain relations have stranded between the new colony and it´s mother realm Cearwyn. This has to do with the growing tensions between followers of the Verdis Elementum and the Morekian Church. Sir Glaumring is a member of the latest and with the VE being the greatest religion in Cearwyn, this was ill received by the gross of the Cearwyn nobility.

Members of the VE fear for the growing influence of the Morekian church with it´s offensive nature towards other cultures and are out to bring a stop to it. There are many rumours of war and if this continues, this might well lead to it.

There are also reports of followers of the VE(mostly nobles from Asylon) who plea for not taking action in Asylon against the Morekeian influence threw Sir Glaumring. They state that most members of Asylon are members of the VE and Glaumring is one of the exceptional cases amongst it´s nobility, They claim there is no case of any kind of cultural or religious takeover going on. The recent rebellion, they claim, was only an act out of the realms interest, it´s former ruler is described as corrupt, inefficient and unresponsive. They say a hostile act by Cearwyn against the current Government in Asylon would only cause harm.

Harbour celebration turns into every sailors nightmare
Dozens of citizens got killed today in the harbour of Madina after one of the harboured ships´s sail caught wind. It ripped the wooden docking plateaus with it on a short but devastating rampage threw the busy platforms. people got traped, overrun but mostly drowned in the massacre.

Cause of the accident is most likely due to an ongoing celebration on the ships deck, apparently somewhere along a drunk peasant fight, the robes on the counter weight of the main sail where cut loose. The weight fell down and hoisted the main sail who immediately caught wind and bashed its way to the main harbour.

Those responsible have unfortunately not made it to see there punishment. All remaining guests where slaughtered in the accident or lynching that happened shortly after. Eventually, order was restored and restorations have started.
