The Republic of Fwuvoghor Leaves the CCA! |
In a swift diplomatic move surprising some corners, Retravic Slayer backed by the realms council has withdrawn the Republic from the Ceded Cities Alliance. The Break from the CCA has left the Republic in a state of war with the previously federated allies of Heen and Irombrozia. This is hopefully a breach that can be sealed in time but the shock withdrawal from the federation that has previously meant so much has left a gaping diplomatic wound and damages the credibility off the CCA as an international organization.
The CCA as an alliance has always been an ineffective one. The realms have been too small and to far apart in most cases to effectively support each other against more powerful alliances and realms like the ECA. The CCA has however been a everyday force in the republic it lead the republic to attack Riombara after the Unionist forces executed King Marc of Irombrozia. It will be remembered for this in our history if not for its symbolism and idealism of the fledgling realms that have created it. All being said despite the necessity of leaving it this reporter will miss the alliance of the underdogs. |

Enweil moves to aid the republic |
Our Stanch allies Enweil have of course offered the republic their support. They race towards Fwuvoghor at this Moment however at this the eleventh hour there is as yet no signs of them on horizon and many fear it is a race they will lose.
However the knoleage that relief maybe at hand gives much strength to the nobles and commons who both know of the might of Enweils Armys |

News from the south |
Finally the welcome news, the Daimon Lord Arcane and his horde has been destroyed, and Arcane himself killed (at least temporarily). By Joint force of Riombara and The Kingdom of Alluran with a symbolic contingent from Luz de Bia.
Arcane and his Horde have not only sacked Fwuvoghor but also they have sacked the capital of Riombara, Athol Margos. Including Creasur which was sacked by Invisible last month this brings the Daimons up to a score of 3 For 2, however the wickets taken fall under doubt, with the demonic players in a unsporting fashion returning to play. All the cities that have been sacked so far have been capitals of various realms. The invasion is just beginning but the Demonic forces are already out of some supreme arrogance going for the head. |

A Constitution? |
In a controversial move 4 days ago, Our Queen decided to put forth a referendum regarding a newly created draft of a constitution. The referendum requires a 2/3 majority to pass. This Constitution calls for ministorial elections every month, bringing new blood in and reinstating popular ministors. However, it contreversially dictated a permanent monarcy. Giving the ruler wayyyyy to much power, in a realm founded based on a republic.
Alaned General of our forces, summed it up well. "The reestablishment of the ARTICLES OF INDEPENDENCE is a step in right direction. We must however be careful not to stray to far from Dirriks Ideals." Felmoure vehemntly said " I refuse to acknowledge a monarchy as anything but a de-facto government. This realm was founded as a Republic with regular elections, but the system was changed due to one abusive Prime Minister so as to "make sure it wouldn't happen again"" "The lack of elections undermines the power of the people." Who is to stop a Permanent monarch from abusing his/her power? Absolute power corrupts even the most kind hearted and decent indivisual into a power hungry maniac. It important to follow the vision under which were were founded. Many among us feel a permananent monarcy is... not the right way to go. It is up to us... And now, here is a draft of the constitution. CONSTITUTION OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF FWUVOGHOR In recognition of a necessity of change to promote Stability, Peace, and to better serve the people, a Monarchial system has been established in The People's Republic. In recognition that all people deserve equal respect and treatment under the law, that the purpose of government is to provide protection for its people, this Constitution serves as a means of upholding those rights. ARTICLE I This Constitution sets forth the powers and limitations that bind the government of the People's Republic of Fwuvoghor. There shall be no law passed that is in conflict with this Constitution. These Articles cannot be amended except by a two-thirds majority of the House of Ministers or a three-fourths majority of the citizens of the Republic. The Code of Fwuvoghor creates a core set of laws which define criminal misconduct and appropriate punishment. The Code is the supreme law of the Republic, and is final should there be any conflict with a lesser law. The Code cannot be amended except by a two-thirds majority of the House of Ministers. ARTICLE II The House of Ministers shall be elected every three months by a majority vote of the nobles of the Republic and compose the general administrative body of the government. The House will seat an even number of Ministers based upon the Census of the People's Republic. The House shall pass civil and criminal laws, approve declarations of War and treaties of armistace, create and organize a National Militia for the protection of the Republic from foreign invasion, and create and organize an Office of the Treasury to levy taxes and distribute revenues as necessary to fund the expenses of the People's Republic. All questions before the House shall be decided by a majority vote of its members. A Minister of the House shall be appointed by the Monarch to direct the National Militia in accordance with the laws and declarations of the House. A Minister of the House shall be appointed by the Monarch to direct the Office of the Treasury in accordance with the laws and declarations of the House. ARTICLE III The Monarch acts as the chair of the House of Ministers and will only vote in case of a tie. The Monarch is the head of state of the People's Republic and represents the People's Republic in diplomatic affairs. ARTICLE IV The Judiciary of Fwuvoghor shall be composed of regional Lesser Courts and a Grand Court. Justiciars shall judge all proceedings of each Court, in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic. "The Grand Justiciar shall be elected by a census of the nobles of the People's Republic and serve until a time such as that they are no longer willing or inable.". ARTICLE V The People's Republic of Fwuvoghor shall be composed of one or more Provinces, and each will be placed under a Duke elected by the Monarch with approval of the House. Each Province shall create a regional government to provide for local administration. Provincial laws, provided they do not conflict with these Articles or the Code, shall overrule any National Law they are in conflict with. |
