Formal Introduction

I would like to begin by saying it is truly an honor to continue the legacy of such a revered paper. I will do my best to keep to the morals that this paper has upheld throughout its existence. At the same time I will bring a new theme to this paper, my own acerbic ingenuity. I hope the reader enjoys the articles and their yearn for an entertaining, yet informative newspaper is appeased.

It Doesn't Take Heroism to be a Hero

For the first official article of this month we would like to start it on the happier side. Esteemed General Zeteo Veritas announced the beginning of what will soon be a cherished tradition in Fwuvoghor. The Outstanding Bravery Award saw its first light today, an award bestowed upon those individuals who were wounded while protecting the men and women of the Republic. The first recipients of the award were Ben Jamin, one of the most senior members of our realm and likewise respected,

the other recipient was Dritz Anu Ra, though he is new to the realm compared to Ben, he fights for Fwuvoghor like he has lived here all his life. Our two gallant warriors were wounded in the battle of Henhower. When asked about his bravery on the battlefield Ben replied with, "I am honored to be the first to receive this award. Although, I must say I have done nothing unusual to receive this, it is good to know that sacrifices and loyalty to Fwuvoghor does not go unnoticed." It seem being a hero doesn't require great feats of courage after all, only a virtue to stand for what is just.

Friends from the West

Monsters pillaging our homes, alliances crumbling, and rebellion in the back of everyones mind, its no wonder the pubs have been so busy. The world is a cruel place that everyone must contend with, however Fwuvoghor has some new friends to facilitate the tremendous burdens we face day to day. Early this afternoon Grimson Pelgrim, Banker of Valhus, Viscount of Sheja, and his loyal Knight Raziël changed their allegiance becoming members of the Republic, along with the region Sheja. This audacious move by Grimson surly brings light upon how [implied] poorly things must be going in Valhus. Grimson had this to say "I didn't want to fight out a civil war while our region were being looted. I may have abbadond them when they needed me the most, But i have to look after MY people first. That is my sacred duty as a Count. Valhus was in no condition to defend itself." There you have it from the Banker himself, it seems judgment day is lurking around the corner for Valhus.

Marshal Steps Down!

Today Jefferson Vita surprised everyone with his resignation from Marshal of the Fwuvoghor Madmen. Upon abdicating his position Jefferson had this to say "I am not a marshal, but a mere rubber stamp for General Zeteo. This is not intended to accuse General Zeteo of anything, but when told I was needed to serve the Republic I thought I would be doing more than merely rubber stamping orders. I believe General Zeteo should be the marshal himself. He has my full recommendations if anyone cares to accept them.Furthermore, this realm is too full of confusing

treachery lately and I do not know who to trust. I mean no ill will to anyone here, but I believe that this Republic is not suited for me anymore. My apologies to everyone here. I grew fond of many of you. My liege, Maximiliaan, I hope you understand my reasons. I will now be heading for Melhed." Although there is no hostilities toward Jefferson and his decision, it does prompt the question Why? Why would someone who could have easily been on his way to a generalship, or even greater suddenly throw all of it away. Perhaps there is more then meets the eye in the high councils of Fwuvoghor. Only time will tell, and we are all waiting.

Hostilities Ceased!

Premier Morder announced publicly that a treaty of amnesty was now official between the Republic and Avalon. A long and arduous war has now seen a close. The treaty outline three different points, mostly related to regions and who will take possession. Treaty of Peace: Ω1 Borders stay as is. Ω2 Rogue regions, first come, first serve.(only those on immediate border, I mean first to start a successful TO. If we start a TO, Avalon cant, and only if RoF fails in the TO, we will be allowed to start one. And vice cersa). Ω3 Any switching region will be allowed choice.(both capitals excluded). It is excellent to see that peace could be attained and many lives now saved. This chapter in the Republic's history is closed.
