A black horse with the Ikalak war emblem blazing across its cover flanks galloped towards the Ministry of Justice.

The Taselakian guards waved the messenger aside. “The Ministry of Defence is down that road” he gestured hard right.

The battle-hardened warrior frowned, “I know. This delivery is for the Ministry of Justice - from War Mistress Philippa Rede”

The guard raised a wary eyebrow but let the messenger continue on.

The sealed scroll held a neatly handwritten, if not brief, note. It had evidently been penned by the Lady herself rather than her scribe:

“My Lord Aeneas,

Words escape me, but I hope you are well.

Regards, Philippa"

Roleplay from Aeneas Gabanus (10 hours, 56 minutes ago)

Aeneas had prepared himself to go to work again. It would be one of the last days that some Sandalakian scum was still in his dungeon and he would make it count. He gave his servant the order to prepare the equipment and call captain Engelhart, but the servant seemed very nervous: "My lord, well, uhm, he has bought his freedom, somehow he had some gold hidden still, they do not know yet. Or his family, but is no longer here." Aeneas' face grew furious: "What, he is no longer here! By the gods, aarrgh, someone will pay, get me Engelhart now!"

As the servant walked away, another man came walking in. "I have a delivery is for the Ministry of Justice - from War Mistress Philippa Rede," he said. "War Mistress? Aeneas said without moving either his body or mess up his face. Yes, yes, the Ministry of Defense is over there," he continued, not really paying attention to the messenger. The man however returned: "Milord, my Mistress Philippa Rede has ordered me to deliver this to you personally." Aeneas now turned towards the man, "Lady Philippa, War Mistress? Very well, give me the letter!" he said now, as excitement was slightly noticeable in his demeanour.

Aeneas took the letter and went this his private chambers where he opened it and as he read the short note, a smile came upon his face. "She was right," he thought. "She will lead their armies, all of them and she is well." Aeneas quickly took a quill and paper and started writing back a letter himself without informing his servants.

Letter from Aeneas Gabanus (10 hours, 53 minutes ago)

Lady Philippa,

I am well, thank you. I am pleased that you are safe and congratulate you on your appointment. I hope you will be kind to us and to me. Life here is not the same without your presence.

Signed, Aeneas Gabanus Lord Justice of Taselak Earl of Belus

Philippa stared again at the tactical map laid out on her makeshift camp table. She started re-playing scenarios trying to recall her tutorlege in the art of war. She was definitely a young General but her obsession throughout her youth with EI war and politics had given her a foundation that she knew outweighed most nobles her age.

A scribe broke her attention and she saw the seal of the Taselak Lord Justice on the scroll. She tried to hide her delight as she dismissed the messenger quickly.

“My Lord,

Thankyou, I will admit my new position seems demanding and I have not even met another Army in the field of battle yet!

I will always be kind to you - will you likewise to me? It is strange to say I miss my confinement in Taselak, but yet it seems to sometimes be the case. I wonder if I could one day show you the beautiful north-east shores of Ikalak - the sunrises are spectacular.

Take care my Lord,
