We encourage contributions, or even simply requests for reports of monsters, from any and all readers.
Rebellion in Pian en Luries!
July 19th Macal Kandurell
Early on the morning of the 19th, a knight known as Mathias called for a rebellion within Pian en Luries. He claimed that all the power in Pian en Luries lay in the hands of two individuals, Queen Alanna and Duke Diodorus of Giask, and that they had misused their power to remove any shred of opposition. Although the rebels' objectives, beyond the removal of Queen Alanna and Duke Diodorus, appear to be somewhat uncertain, their manifesto includes a new government entirely for Pian en Luries, and hints at democratic tendencies. Such rabble rousing and commoner praising attitudes will surely not tempt the loyal nobles of Pian en Luries.

A flurry of discussions and arguments have passed before the realm. Although the Lurian Weekly will cover this in more depth in other areas, the key points on either side appear to be that the Queen and Duke of Giask are silencing all opposition while misleading the realm to destruction, while the rebels are peasant sympathisers and the remnants of traitorous Verus Luria and its foreign supporters. Thus far many of the so called rebels appear to be on the other side of the continent to Pian en Luries, or leaving it by the fastest boat possible, which does appear to cast some doubt on their determination. Amongst other notables, Duke Proslyn of Askileon has joined the loyalists, making the rebels' job much harder.

Goatmen
July 13th Monster Compendium
Found by Leon Agenor

They are 6 to 7 feet tall, having the body of a man but the legs and head of a goat. Their mighty horns are capable of smashing a man's ribcage, and any who fall to the earth will be quickly trampled by their hoofs. These fearsome monsters are stronger and faster then any man can be; it is a brave soldier who stands against a Goatman charge. Fear does not appear to trouble them as it does ordinary mortals, and their stamina is nigh unbeatable - when their formidable charge does not defeat the enemy, they are quite capable of fighting him to exhaustion. Goatmen live in nomadic herds about 15 strong, lead by a large alpha male. Squabbling for position appears to be frequent, even in the midst of battle, and this disorganisation can be used to your advantage if you split them up into several smaller groups.
Mathias' Mischievous Message
July 19th Macal Kandurell
A heavily abridged version of Mathias' call to arms follows:

"Brothers and Sisters! Arise, arise!.. Let every noble and peasant throughout Pian en Luries stand now as one to rid us of the oppression of Queen Alanna and General Diodorus... How many times have you seen noble completely ignored by the Queen, or been there yourself. Needed an answer and no answer came, In fact no communication came at all... Pian en Luries has had the potential for a very long time to be the greatest realm on Dwilight. But it will never happen with Alanna on the throne and her lap dog playing general.

Alanna and Diodorus were the cause of Poryatown succeeding from the realm... Diodorus lied and betrayed his word. And used the succession to enlarge his own duchy, his own power, his own wealth and that of his family... Together they are a match made in Hell...

RISE UP ONE AND ALL, HEAR THE CALL OF YOUR FREEDOM BECONING YOU TO BIGGER AND GREATER THINGS. RID THIS KINGDOM OF THE CANCER THAT HAS COME TO BE ITS RULER AND IT’S GENERAL!

I say it is time to give the power to the people... Monarchies can be easily abused, republics put at least a few safeguards against that in place and well democracies give most all the power to the people...

RISE UP AND BE FREE!!!"

Insanity and Exclamation Marks
July 19th Macal Kandurell
The great philosopher Wurbach hypothesised that the use of exclamation marks is directly proportional to the measure of insanity in the writer. Specifically, anyone using three or more exclamation marks at once should be shot for their own good. Although this was written in Wurbach's last few years, when some have said he was accustomed to walking around with a teapot over his head, others have said that in his last few years some of his finest thinking occurred, when he was not being simply mad. If he was right, a new light is shone on Sir Mathias' message.
Loyalist Watch
July 19th Macal Kandurell
Many notable members of Pian en Luries have declared their loyalty to the government. These include;

Queen Alanna, General Diodorus, Duke Proslyn, Marquis Christopher, Count Chris, Count Eric and Marshal William of the Silver Shields.

A most interesting chain of messages thrown up by the rebellion is the exchange between Rebel Sir Royce and Loyal Duke Proslyn. The former appeared to be trying to convince the Duke of Askileon to join the rebellion in return for being its leader. Despite Proslyn's most scathing comments of the rebels, the attempts continued unabated. Here follows Proslyn's letter declaring support for the Queen.

"Lords and Ladies, Sir and Dame Knights of Pian en Luries.

It would appear to me that Sir Mathias is a fool (although admittedly, an extremely verbose one), and his current followers simply traitors from the now-defunct Verus Luria.

I would hardly call Queen Alanna an oppressive monarch. Stern, perhaps, but by no means oppressive. As for your accusations concerning the arch-traitor Kaennji's secession, I must say that you have come up with an interesting little theory. Whether it is true or not, however, does it matter? Kaennji was hardly an outstanding king, and did little as a duke. It can only benefit Pian en Luries, to have removed a duke who would so easily succumb to treacherous intentions.

Frankly, I am most disturbed by your words; much of your rhetoric appears to be almost peasant-loving!

"Let every noble and peasant throughout Pian en Luries stand now as one." "Give power to the people." "Democracies give most all the power to the people"

Were it not for the rest of your words combined, I would have assumed that you were referring to the nobles of Pian en Luries. However, you appear to be making frequent references to nobles and peasants...as though they had equal rights! What a preposterous idea.

I will have nothing to do with such nonsense.

Signed,

Proslyn Merytis Duke of Askileon"

Rebel Watch
July 19th Macal Kandurell
The vast majority of the rebels appear to have, in fact, left Pian en Luries or just arrived there. A list of some notables follows:

Sir Mathias, Sir Celyn, Sir Valdrix.

The rebels' arguments thus far have been ridiculous and rude, and not suitable for publication.

Last minute addition: It would appear that Lady Katayanna was involved in the rebellion, or at least has some sway over the perpetrators. According to Sir Mathias, she as ordered them to leave Pian en Luries. Her message follows:

"You have made your bed and must sleep in it. I would pity you but that would suggest that you had no control over your destiny. You have all made your choice. Therefore, I offer no pity.

sincerely, Lady Katayanna Ogren"
