Issue Overview
May 11th - 17th Zanaras
As this is what may very well be the last issue of the Lurian Weekly, I have put quite a lot of work into making sure the Lurian Weekly goes out with a bang. And by "bang" I mean the best issue that I've done yet.

War on Dwilight
May 14th Zanaras
War on Dwilight is not a new thing, but there is a chance that the second war might actually include inter-realm combat, as Shadovar now finds itself locked into war with Melodia, Madina, and Caerwyn. I sent the leaders of the involved realms messages asking for the reason behind their actions. The articles below are the responses I received.
Simple Words from Madina
May 15th Grand Doge Kolya Ishimu
It seems to be fairly straight forward to me.

Shadovar attacked Melodia unprovoked and did not even observe the courtesy of a declaration of war.

That does not sound like the kind of thing proper nobles would do.

Reasons from Melodia
May 14th Larur of Melodia
The Crown of Melodia are suspicious that the Lurian Weekly will twist the truth in this War for the benefit of the Kingdom's foreign affairs. However, His Imperial Highness has specifically expressed His wish to make contact with the newspaper in hopes that the story will be written as it should for the sake of objectivity.

Melodia had claimed Port Raviel and Port Nebel by word long before His Majesty the Dictator of Shadovar initiated his expedition bearing the insignia of Pian en Luries. Port Nebel was taken over despite of Our claims.

The lifestyle in Madina was not suited for the Knighthood of Paisly, something that resulted to the City's peaceful secession and led to the foundation of Melodia. The Crown of Melodia enforced the claims of Port Raviel by attempting to takeover the City. Before as well as during the takeover of Port Raviel the fleet of Shadovar was moving towards the City in an attempt to seize the lands despite of Our claims. However, the tactical and sailing skills of the former Lord Admiral of the Isle Republic of Madina proved superior to the skills of the Shadovarians as a result the Melodian forces to make landfall before the fleet of Shadovar and takeover the City of Port Raviel before any harm could be done.

Despite of these suspicious moves that led to Our frustration, out of courtesy and due to the peaceful nature of the Crown of Melodia, We sought for an unconditional Peace Treaty with Shadovar in order to achieve peaceful neighbourhood, while at the same time dropping every claim from the Island of Nebel. The Treaty was rejected with the something between these lines as a response from the Crown of Shadovar:

"We are not ready for commitments."

Till then, Melodia and Shadovar had no contact until a few days ago when a rebel of Shadovar contacted the Crown of Melodia asking for support bringing forth the atrocities of the Shadovarians at slaining commoners for joy as the reason of the planned rebellion. The Crown of Melodia refused to get involved in any attempt to overthrow the legitimate Crown despite of any internal issues. It was then, when the Crown of Melodia was informed that Shadovar was scouting the Melodian Army organizing an attack.

A couple of days later, without any prior warning or any official statement, without any contact, without any declaration of War, the news of a battle in Port Raviel spread throughout Melodia. Noble blood had been spilled and Sir Serge of Paisland was wounded while defending the Royal Residence against the intruders. The fleet of the Shadovar could be seen approaching at large with enough troops to takeover Port Raviel.

It was then that War had been declared from Melodia. The matter was brought forth before the sovereigns of Dwilight, but so far no reason for the attack has ever been given. The royal vessel could be seen sailing as part of the intrusive fleet. Commiting hostilities in sovereign lands is a serious matter that can not go unnoticed. Hence, War seems inevitable.

Sir Knight, this is how the situation has for now. Be so kind as to dispatch the respective issue to Port Raviel as well. We will enjoy reading it in Our scarce leisure time.

On a side note, We have received news of the colonization plans. It is Our sincere hope that this is not any attempt of some nobles from Pian en Luries to defend the abominable, dishonourable, opportunistic knights of Shadovar.
