Summary

The 2nd Battle of Santoo, fought on the morning of September 17th, 1010, was the first major engagement between the Lurian Empire and the Giasken rebels with their Fissoan allies. The attackers were lured into a trap by the Lurian Grand Imperator, who led them to believe they had a superior force, while in reality the Lurians had split their army between Santoo and the neighboring province Askileon Purlieus. The Giasken failed to notice the hidden reinforcements, and after a few days of occupying Orz, they decided to attack. The Lurians sprung the trap, and the invaders were soundly defeated, with the Giasken Grand Imperator wounded during the fight. The battle marked the end of Giasken incursions onto the Lurian side of the Santoo-Orz bridge. Since then, no Giasken army has set foot across the bridge.
