A Word from the Editor

In this paper, there are a couple articles by an aspiring journalist known as Johann Hynes. While not making him a full journalist, as he is unsure of whether to join, or make his own paper, I did decide that his ability to write should be known. All news articles (minus the EIDA ad at the end) in the issue are of his handiwork.

Hard-Liners plot to overthrow Sorcha

It seems the latest joint Perdan-Ubent campaign has caused a bit of Civil Strife among the nobles of the White City. On March 18, 2004 Thani, a life-long servant of Ibladesh, incited a rebellion against Pontifax Sorcha. It seems that the cause of this rebellion stemmed from the banning of another life-long servant, Rianna, and a group of conspirators plotting to allegedly hand the key city of Al Arab to Perdan. So called "Ibby Hard-Liners" involved are Bathalzar the Duke of Al Arab, Zes the son of Xiso who founded the Temple of the Heart in Itor Boss, Thani the former countess of Ar Zarqua, Rianna and Minerva, the founder of Ibladesh's current government, as well as a handful more. However, it seems at this moment that the Rebellion is doomed to failure due to apathy of Ibladesh nobles over their realm's impending doom. Unfortunately, this rebellion shows loud and clear what we all have suspected for a long time; Nobles with common sense are a minority in Ibladesh.

Oligarch SpecOps Overthrow Old Rancagua Government

In a surprising turn of events, a seemingly very capable TL by the name of Charger from Oligarch as well as the judge and Chairman of the WCC, thought out and executed a plan of such daring magnitude that this small group's actions have left the Government of Old Rancagua reeling in dissaray and bought Oligarch precious time in it's war against the trinity. Even though Charger's reign was short lived, the damage had been done, and many high ranking TLs and royals withing the OR ranks were banned and/or deported from OR by forces loyal to Charger. The revolution paved the way for a successful attack into the city of Kazakah and the recapture of Asheforth.

Ever wish there was a place where your duels counted, but not quite as flashy as the tournaments realms hold sporadicly? Well, that's why the East Island Dueling Association (EIDA) was founded. By keeping track of your wins and losses, they are able to place you in the appropriate rank within the guild, and compare your abilities to other members. Best of all, there is a champion for each realm, and to become the next champion (and be able to take out gold against the guildhouse) you only have to defeat the current champion. Once more guildhouses are founded, there may eventually be an East Island Chamption. Current Locations: Beziers, Perdan Costs: 15 gold initially; 5 gold monthly.
