Time does a funny thing to one's memories. Some people long to forget certain tragedies of life. Others cherish the nostalgia of the past. As time passes though most of those precious and painful memories become muddled and unclear, ravaged by those advancing years until they all but disappear. A few though, I am sure we will never forget; however, in creating this journal I am writing to record what I remember less it fall into the black void of the mind. A history of sorts and a recollection of thoughts.

Bryce arrived to the great realm of Perdan as a young noble in search of the proverbial fame, fortune, and glory with a contingent of Prodigal Socerers. (Yes, these men were suppose to be sorcerers, yet they were found to be frauds and possessing no magical skills at all. They used a elaborate technique to propell objects using a mechanical spring device as far as a normal bow, but more compact. Battleworthy, though not magical. Hence they were misnamed to not offend any real sorcerers.) Perdan at that time was assisting her ally Caligus against her neighbors of Coimbra and Fontan.

Once reviewing the various institutions of Perdan, Bryce enlisted in the Perdan Crimson Wing under the leadership of WAYLANDER. The unit participated in a successful variety of battles and takeovers against Coimbra and Fontan. The General Dragolis lead the forces Perdan to numerous victories, with each victory gaining Caligus territory after territory. The discipline displayed by each Perdan battlegroup and their commanders was astonishing and awe inspiring as their feats were well renowned throughout the East Island. Aestus defended, Aureus, Sordidus, Tokat, and finally Akesh Temple was retaken for the Caligus banner as the minions of Fontan could only flee from the combined Caligus/Perdan warmachine.

Eventually, Coimbra was destroyed and Fontan surrendered, the foreign wars that Perdan had long fought for her allies were over. It would seem that finally, a true war would be fought against the evil manipulative Sirion empire and the supposedly defunct puppet states. Preparations were made for a campaign against Sirion, yet Bryce decided that he would have to remain behind to tend to the grievious wounds he had suffered in the previous war. While it would not do to sit idly by to watch the banners of the glorious armies of Perdan march past him, without him being in the ranks. Bryce wished he could contribute to the greater good of Perdan in some way.

It was one day that Bryce came upon rereading a bulletin or two about joining the Homeland Security Forces that he considered working as a bureaucrat. He could not viably fight with his injuries, yet he could still assist the realm in accomplishing a something of value. Bryce decided he would leave behind the arms of Perdan Crimson Wing battlegroup and take up the whip of the Homeland Security Forces. He left his Prodigal Socerers behind in Bescannon (who seperately defend that region by themselves against 4 or 5 monster attacks before dying to infiltrators after 7 to 8 months of militia service). Bryce then walked back to Perdan and began his civil career.
