Paliologos Family
The Paliologos family were once nobles of an Empire far across the seas. When the Empire crumbled the Nobles, trying to save their dying Empire, sent two of their number west. These brothers, Constantine and Nicholas landed on the shores of Idapur in the Far East where they met a Priest of the Highfather who converted them to the religion of the Highfather. Ever since then the Paliologos family have been devout followers of the Highfather. Niether of them has found peace in the far east so they have emmigrated. The family coat of arms is:
Constantine
Constantine is the most devout of the family and left to Avalon in Beluaterra to become a follower of Quil, the ancient of Respect and Trees and has become a Priest and has set about converting people to his faith.
Nicholas
Nicholas was less devout as Constantine and went to Ibladesh were he started a military career. But he began to sway from the Highfater and follow the Church of Ibladesh even becoming a member of the “Temple of the Heart” Guild. Constintine was horrified and managed to turn Nicholas away from his evil ways. After realising what he had done Nicholas moved to Valentia to become a member of the Valentic Order, were the Highfather was most studied, so that he may never stray from the path of the Highfather again and he has now become a Bishop of the Highfather.
After many years the Paliologos family began to slowly decline untill eventually they were wiped out during one of the undead and monster invasions. A small previously insignificant branch of the family however lives on under the name of the Meneldur Family
