Here we are folks. This is where you can find out what the cantidates think and where they see our realm going. If you have any questions about policy, jusy ask IG and it will be posted here.

Fuinur

Interviewer: "Would you be so kind as to outline the foreign policy that you envision?"

Fuinur: "Well, I will continue my former foreign policy of course. Sirion and Fontan are allies and it should stay like this. Close friendship to Perdan should be continued and is important to be continued, also in order to regain a stabile Kalmar Islands. This should be the main policy. Now Oligarch is almost already destroyed, ntohing much to talk about, but I definately would say that important security tasks are to prevent things such as the rebellions in Kalmar and Old Rancagua. Till now, such threats were only innerpolitical problems, but with Avamarian terrorism expanding through national borders I will try to create a multi-national security council in order to help realms in cooperation against such threats. An excellent information network as well as the necessary military and justicial power should be things to make such a cooperation clear. We simply can't accept such people threatening us, our realms and our people. And any realm that will provide protection to them will also have to be considered as threat and possible hostile objective. This and also some old open bills with Caligus/Ubent (maybe some looting raids, a new colony?) would be my future foreign policy."

Interviewer: "What do you plan to do about the Kalmar situation if you come into office?"

Fuinur: "Well I said that already above. Military spoken, we get in, crush them, TO them, hang them, build their lands under our secure banner up, and then seceede them with Prometheus as Duke of Kalmar. I think I would prefer a secession as a new Colony TO would again let some scum join immediately and hurt a young weak realm. If we build them first up and then seceede them, then such people have not such easy chance to hurt the realm. But I guess such things must also be discussed with Perdan too."

Interviewer: "Which comes first: the war with Oligarch our getting our realm back to 100% across the realm?"

Fuinur: "I think when elections will be held one of these 2 problems won't exist anymore. With our buerocratic efficiency and excellent army we should be able to solve at least one of them in the meantime. So I'll let you to choose one of them. ;)"

Interviewer: "Realm information filtering down from the King has become a hot topic, thoughts?"

Fuinur: "Well I intend to continue it as in my former reign under the rule "Constitutional Monarchy - A King with an open ear to his nobility.". There will be again a council of elders that will be the primary advisory council to myself as well maybe a group for those interested in participating/getting informed/being active in realm politics. I think that should work pretty well."

Interviewer: "Anything else you would like to mention?"

Fuinur: "I don't want to mention anything more. I just would like to be able to act again. For the Glory of Old Rancagua!"

Dekion

Interviewer: "Would you be so kind as to outline the foreign policy that you envision?"

Dekion: "Currently our diplomatic policy is set at war with Oligarch and also war with Kalmar Islands. I will detail the Kalmar in the next question Antan asked. As far as Oligarch, we are currently proceeding to destroy them as we did to Avamar and also Rancagua in the past. In doing this, we will be working once again with our allies Sirion and Fontan.

As everyone knows Sirion is our greatest ally, and we are not their puppet as some other realms like to accuse us of. I will continue to keep up our great relations with Sirion and also work on getting Ashforth and also completing a TO of Bruck. I have heard it mentioned before that we should have a federation with Sirion, however depending on what happens with Perdan and us, a federation might not be the greatest idea for us. That is something that would need to be put to the entire realm for discussion as it affects all of us in a potentially massive way.

For now that details our war plans, however as far as foreign policy goes here is what I plan to do if I am elected as the new King. I would like to establish even stronger relations with Fontan. Right now we work together for military operations, but I would like to see our relations extend to other things as well. Trading, sister guilds, etc.

I also want to see what we can do with other realms on this island. I will also deal with Perdan in the Kalmar question. As far as the other realms, I would like to see if we can further our relations with perhaps Yssaria, Itorunt, and Ibladesh. I also forsee us going to war with Caligus in the future for the torture of one of our TL’s in the past."

Interviewer: "What do you plan to do about the Kalmar situation if you come into office?"

Dekion: "As soon as Oligarch is finished I want to focus a majority of our realms resources on Kalmar Islands. I personally despise the way El Cid took control of the realm and how the realm has become the New Avamar. As the general I have been in contact with the Perdan general to try some joint operations, but he has said his Queen has said Kalmar is not a priority. As the new King, I would work on getting Perdan to at least send a BG to assist us in getting the Kalmar Islands back for Prometheus and the TL’s that are loyal to him.

I know that Sirion and other realms had problems when Fuinur declared peace with Perdan. I want you to know that even though Perdan is about the most powerful realm on the island, I would have no problems declaring war against them if necessary. However I do not see that happening. I think it is good that Fuinur did declare peace with them and I really want to keep the peace with Perdan for the near future and also work with them on getting Avamar out of Kalmar. However once again if they refuse to send any forces to assist in Kalmar, I will make sure Prometheus gets his realm back with the help of Old rancagua only if need be. It is a promise I made to a guild brother and one that I shall keep."

Interviewer: "Which comes first: the war with Oligarch our getting our realm back to 100% across the realm?"

Dekion: "Oligarch will be destroyed first. First as the High Marshal I have been working towards that and I do not see Oligarch lasting more than a few more weeks on this island. I also do not think our realm can ever be 100% until Oligarch is destroyed. Because of them our realm was torn apart, Kalmar was lost, and so many other transgressions. Oligarch is a cancer that needs to be removed and that will happen as soon as possible.

I also think that our realm can never be at 100% as we should always be working to improve our realm. If you mean having all our regions at 100% in productivity, loyalty, morale and control at core, I do not think that is necessary to always have “perfect” stats. It is nice, but not very realistic, especially when we have always had a few problems keeping all our regions at those stats without constantly having the lords and bureaucrats in our regions holding court and doing survey admins and such.

I would prefer to have our regions at main or core and as long as they are above 95% and no lower than 90% without a reason (like monsters) then I think we would be fine. I would like to also work on giving region lords some more gold for projects like more scouting guilds, banner shops, etc. As the ruler I would work with the banker to help subsidize some of these projects. Things like guilds should be built with guild funds or exclusively from a region lord as it is a personal decision and will not necessarily benefit the realm."

Interviewer: "Realm information filtering down from the King has become a hot topic, thoughts?"

Dekion: "With the new King (Thalanteus) and the new banker and judge, I have seen more talk among the realm council then any other time I was the High Marshal in this realm. I would like to continue this tradition with talking to each other. Once we have discussed things in the council each of us has been making an effort to keep the realm more informed in the areas that pertain to each of our positions. I am very proud of this council and the communication we have with each other. I would definitely like to continue this relationship between council members and continue to keep the realm informed about current and future plans.

I do not like holding information back and have seen the damage it can cause. I would not like to see our past mistakes repeated. As I have already stated earlier in the questions, certain things I think are not the King’s decision alone to make, things like a federation for instance. I would rather use my council to get their best advice and then the individual group (military advisory, bureaucratic, etc) for their advice. If then I were still conflicted, I would open it up to the realm. However for really big decisions I would open it up to the realm. Federation is the biggest thing that I can think of right now."

Interviewer: "Anything else you would like to mention?"

Dekion: "I have been in this realm for a long time. I arrived when Talius was the King and Fuinur was the High Marshal. When Fuinur took over rulership he was the one that appointed me as general. I have fought by his side since I came to this realm. I owe my beginnings in this realm to Fuinur. However this realm, this island has changed since I first came to this realm and now I am running for ruler. I think I am the best candidate for the position. I will let my record as High Marshal during the victory over Avamar, Rancagua, and through the turmoil when we were almost lost as a realm, speak for itself. I also encourage anyone that has any questions to ask all of the candidates so we can answer them."

Antan

Interviewer: "Would you be so kind as to outline the foreign policy that you envision?"

Antan: "Well, I would plan on following what our basic relations are right now. Sirion is and shall remain a close ally to us. The same situation concerning Fontan. We have slipped a bit in the past weeks, not by our own fault. We have been set back and I will strive to get us working closely with Fontan and Sirion once again. I believe that we can get relations back to where they were pre-rebellion and beyond that as well.

Our enemies shall remain Oligarch and the Kalmar Islands. They shall be driven into the ground by the combined forces of the might of Old Rancagua, Sirion, and Fontan. There shall be no quarter for these realms, complete destruction.

Continue the good relations with our friends in the south and to the west. Relations shall remain as they are right now, with the possible exception of Light of Fountain, who shall be offered peace.

Interviewer: "What do you plan to do about the Kalmar situation if you come into office?"

Antan: "As I have said before. We shall run them into the ground. They are under a strangehold from their current economic situation. I would promote relations with Perdan for a twon prong assault that would systematically dissect the Klmar Islands from both sides. There shall be no room for rebels, only the utter destruction of the Kalmar Island as they are right now and the restoration of the former government."

Interviewer: "Which comes first: the war with Oligarch our getting our realm back to 100% across the realm?"

Antan: "Well, our region can never bee 100% all the way across. We are expanding greatly and can not maintain all of our regions. To counter this problem I would put together a list of those who would be willing for bureocratic work. I would like to see a cycling of a group of bureocrats who could maintain the realm.

If nine nobles volunteered for bureocratic work, three would work one month and rotate. That way, no one is discontent with their position. This would eradicate all of the: "oh I always am sitting in the backgroun, working while no one respects me." Then everyone who volunteers will get a chance to make their realm better.

The destruction of Oligarch is also a vital necessity. If our southern border can be secured, we can turn focus upon our infrastructure for a time. When our infrastructure is rebuilt and the Recruitment Centers enlarged, we can attack the Kalmarian situation. When the realm prospers, the military follows.

I cannot say which is more important, I am for dissecting both problems at once.

Interviewer: "Realm information filtering down from the King has become a hot topic, thoughts?"

Antan: "Well, I am going to support a system of weekly updates upon the realm and its happenings. All of the Council members will be asked to provide a report of their respective areas. If any major debates rise up, the realm shall be informed of the ensuing discussion and encouraged to participate. All things such as wars and relation changes. The realm shall play a very active role in the future of the realm."

Interviewer: "Anything else you would like to mention?"

Antan: "Well, I cannot claim the outstanding track record of Fuinur, Dekion, or Talius. These men all have played an amazing part in the history of Old Rancagua. All I can put forward is that I am not the amazing military mind that these men are. I am the cantidate that is the calculating, political cantidate. I can offer the organization and the methodical dissection of a situation for the betterment of Old Rancagua."
