A New Realm Born
November, 27th, 1010

Born from the ruins of Perdans city in Aix, a new realm was born, the Diocese of Aix. This is known to be a theocracy dedicated to Ibladesh's main religion, the "Church of Ibladesh". The realm has grown at an impressive rate and we believe they will only grow stronger as time goes on. Good luck and good work, nobles of DoA, the Obsidian News salutes your efforts to rebuild the regions.

Westmoor and Caligus
November, 27th, 1010

Though this editor is not entirely sure why the war continues, it would seem that for the most part there is not much to report on. A few large battles happen here and there, most of which Caligus seems to win, but with the exception of losing Troyes in a revolt to Perdan, there has been no losses region wise. Are one of the sides holding back or are they of equal measure? Are the revolts and elections holding Westmoor back from attacking Caligus? Is Caligus holding back for some reason? We can only ponder these different explanations currently as there is little news from the realms at large (not counting Caligus' newspaper). Best of luck to both sides of this war, may peace be achieved for you.

Perdans Defeat
November, 27th, 1010

Some time ago Perdan went to war with Ibladesh and Caligus, to show support for their allies, Westmoor also went to war with Caligus (which continues till this day) and OI also sent in troops in the defense of Perdan. Both sides fought valiantly but in the end Ibladesh and Caligus managed to overpower Perdan and OI troops and push into Perdans capital city. Perdan did manage to secure a peace treaty, saving them their namesake city and five other regions, there was no need for an official treaty for OI's withdrawal, and Westmoor continues to fight Caligus.

Northern Struggles
November, 27th, 1010

It would seem the settings on the northern front, though from a political standpoint have not changed much, if at all, the lay out of the land has greatly changed. On the Sirion and Fontan front, Fontan is down to nine regions, with five in their northern section and four in their southern. Though they currently stand divided in half with the loss of Oporto they still stand strong and fight united. As for the Sirion and SoA front, it would seem there is not much change, a couple regions changing sides on a near constant basis but overall not much to report. One much imagine what the war would be like if either side had a capital closer to their front, such as Oroya for SoA or Parm for Sirion but that is all this editor can do, wonder. The Obsidian News wishes the best of luck to all realms involved and we hope to see a peaceful end soon.

A New Religion
November, 27th, 1010

After leaving the major religion in OI of Dagdaism, a few days later Duke Sielo was enlightened and founded a new religion to be known as "The Four Great Spirits". It would seem this is a very insightful religion, but will the people of the Islands be accepting of this new faith? Only time will tell.
