The Nalankuyi family hails from the land of the Malayalis. The Malayalis are traditionally known for the skill of their longbowmen and their soft-spoken nature. The Nalankuyi branch has always held strongly populist and pro-commoner views throughout their history. They are also averse to servility and titles. This explains their difficulty in dealing with kings and the numerous pompous nobles of the land who are frequently granting themselves and each other even more titles.
