The Divine Realm

The divine realm is the mystical underworld where spirits, deities, and other supernatural entities inhabit. As mystics understand it, our world is actually the underworld to the divine realm and theirs is the real plane of existence in the cosmic order. There are many other names for it such as Elysium, Sheol, Heaven and Hell, Hades, Asgard etc. but these names often imply a moral consequence. For mystics, the divine realm is neither a place for good doers or for bad. And it does not necessarily mean the location of where one goes after death. It is simply a place. The Hierarchy of the Gods operates in this realm, and our souls exist in it as well. When a soul chooses to become conscious and exit oblivion, it enters the divine realm.

The divine realm is superimposed exactly over ours, but is invisible unless invited to see it. A practitioner is able to see the divine realm, or experience it in a slight way, through rituals, ceremonies, or other religious practices. The more temples built in our plane of life, and the more followers converted, the stronger the god will be in the divine realm. This is the goal of mystics.
