Founding a Mystery Cult, the How To Guide

Once you decide to follow this path of mysticism, and you succeed in achieving the first badge, then you can seriously begin your quest for immortality. Here are simple instructions to guide you in creating a mystery cult. Mystery cults are the founded apparatus of Mysticism. It is true that Mysticism is an unfounded religion, but that does not mean one cannot found a mystical religion.

First, before you found a mystery cult you must remember some very important things. It is alright for you to include elements of other existing religions. If you wish to focus on just one part of your former religion you may, or if you have gained revelations from another source you can base your cult around that. You must also remember the basic teachings of Mysticism, that of the Soul, the Hierarchy of the Gods, the Registry, and the Soul Trade. In some way, even the slightest, the religion you found should contain elements of Mysticism. That will be how mystics qualify your religion as a mystery cult.

Second, in founding a mystery cult, the title of the founding rank should be Demigod (Your Chosen Name Here). As Bowie Ironsides is known as the Rogue Mystic, so to must you, the mystic prophet, select a suitable name. Other mystics will recognize you by your chosen name, so choose wisely. The Demigod part is to reflect your goal/status as an emerging mystic prophet.

Third, the ranks of a mystery cult should be simple and few. After the founder, the next rank can simply be called "Cleric." This is an elder rank belonging to the priests of your cult. The next rank should not be an elder rank, and can simply be called "Mystic." Although all members are mystics, this rank separates the laity from the clergy. The final rank should be the most basic rank a cultist can hold, "Uninitiated." This is the very first rank a noble buys when they join your religion, and they remain such until they fulfill whatever task or monetary sum you require of them.
