August

446 of fourth era, August was born, he was from birth already more stronger build than his older brother Ingus.
How ever he lacked talent in any area and was rather clumsy. Only thing he was good at and had alot of interest in was magic, which his mother thought him well.
His brothers didnt share his interest in it, although the too learned the basics, they had nearly no talent thowards theyr mothers arts.

He grew to a strong man, although all his brothers were more potent in fighting.
He began taking on jobs and completed most of them.

Until one time where he was assigned to eradicate a demon lair near a village.
He fought and suffered serious wounds but was the last one remaining alive, save a near dead succubus.
The succubus begged August to spare her life, and August did so, but he didnt just leave, for the succubus would had died of her wounds sooner or later.
He treated her wounds and helped her back to life, during those feau days they became to love each other, despite being different races.
August, although cleared the lair from demons save one, did not take payment for he had spared a succubus.
He took her with him, only once to stop by his home one last time to announce his departing and whom he had decided to take as his wife.
The family was surprised of the news but August wasnt driven out,
such a union is not against the clan rules, the clan only kills demons, necromancers and humans for money, they dont exactly discriminate between life,
although demonic presence is looked badly upon, but since there are alot of demons to go around no need to kill this particular one.
But August decided to leave on his own accord, for his and his wifes presence would certainly hinder the clan.

Nothing had been heard of him, save a feau news.

  • That they had moved to some mountains in Atamara, and were living alone.
  • At some point they had a son whom they named Hagalas.
  • And 10 year after the son was born both August and his wife were killed by a angry mob.

Hagalas however was a pitifully and lonely existence. Surely his father and mother had taught him a fast array of knowledge and trained him strong, and that he was a mixbreed of human and demon with incredible potential,
but his parents were killed by villagers when he was 10 years old.
Hated by humans - for he was not a human.
Hated by demons - for he was a halfbreed bastard scum, barely worth spit spilled on him.
He could never become entire human, nor entire demon.
He was able to change his shape to more humane and more demonic at will.
In his most humane form he would look like a normal man, except his arms and legs, which would be atleast half way to his elbows and knees colored dark, and fingers and toes armed with talons, also his eyes would be somewhat like humans and somewhat like demons.
In his most demon from he would sprout horns on his head, and wings on his back, and his skin would color dark like his for arms and legs.
No human nor demon looked like him.
But he was also much stronger than any human or demon, more so than his father or mother or anyone in his fathers lineage.
And not only that, he had powers to press his spirit and body beyond theyr limits, and some magic powers.
And it seems he also has gained imperfect immortality, as he has not aged when he reached maturity, in other words he wont die of old age, but can be killed.
Although such a thing as eternal youth is rather uncommon, if not-existent at all within this world (except some fae, like ents or fairys, but neither can be classified as animal), it is rumored to be common in demon world, although they usually end up killing each other in they disputes so really old demons are difficult to find.

As such he has no place to go, and so he wanders aimlessly, always going but reaching no place.
Always alone, and hated by all around him, except nature, who shelters all creatures alike if the seek refuge.

One day he collapsed from exhaustion in a rural land, where a woman stumbled upon him, afraid of him at first but seeing his near death state she took pity on him and carried him to her meager shack, healed his wounds, gave him watter, and even the little food she had.

As the man regained his strength he returned the favor by hunting, fishing and gathering food and watter for her, for it was all he could do.
He had no money, for he never had needed none himself, he had always lived alone, feed himself, healed himself, slept under the open sky for as long as he can remember.
No one would give him a job anyway, and the closest village was poor, even it to rob its people, one woudnt get much from it anyway.

As such Hagalas and the woman lived together for a little while.
One day as the man returned from hunting he found the womans hut ravaged and not a single trace of the woman was left.
He looked for her but couldnt find her, he soon realized that the woman was taken by the villagers, that somehow they had learned of his presence and were to punish the woman for aiding him.
He grew wings and quickly went to the village, grabbed the nearest person and interrogated him. The peasant was intimidated by his unnatural appearance and answered the his questions quickly.
He told that the woman was taken to the church to be "purified".

The Hagalas made haste to the church but arrived to late, the priests fled, as soon as they noticed him, as rats out of sight, quickly, as if they were never there.

He landed near the impaled and still warm womans corpse.
He pulled out the spike and morned her passing.
Even though he never had any fondness, perhaps only a little resentment toward human kind, (and demon kind too for that matter).
She was a exception, if it was any one else, he would had not cared cause no one else had showed him kindness(not even the kind with ulterior motive),
for her he wept, his morning echoed to the ears of all villagers, but not one understood his sorrow and all mistook it as a ill omen, a warcry or a spell to call forth others of his kind or calamities.

The next day the man buried the woman on a river bent, her favorite place as far as the man could tell, burned her hut, and continued his journey with out destination.
