From BattleMaster Wiki

As Oiren explored much of the Eastern Island, he began to write in a journal (Something that became precious both monetarily and mentally). This is a record of both his journal entries and the experiences around writing the entries.

The moonlight beamed down on the hillside. Oiren pushed through the foliage to reach the overlook. The region had become a lot busier than expected, just hunting had become difficult for him. He sought out this hillside to get some peace, the taverns and villages were overrun with people. Reaching the overlook, he found a fallen tree trunk nearby. With all his strength, he pulled the half rotting trunk over to the clearing. He took a seat and reached into his bag and took out a small book, a quill and an ink pot.

Turning to a blank page, he began to write.

He held out the book for a moment waiting for the ink to dry. Carefully folding the book and holding it on his lap. He looked over at the landscape below him, smoke billowing from the chimneys, farmers hurrying animals into barns and the occasional younger couple going for a walk out into the landscape. Oiren couldn't help be feel envious of those with their lives set out like such.

He let out a sigh before placing the book back into his bag, sealing it shut. He carefully picked it up and headed towards the exit of the clearing. Looking back briefly at the setting of the clearing, without human interference the nature once again reclaimed site.

"At least that is a constant that I can appreciate." He let out a sigh and pushed his way through the foliage once again.

Journal Entry: Day 40

My journeys seems to be getting wilder, never seem to be able to settle in one place for too long. Lily still joins me however I do worry for her, what she has faced. The return of Lyra was quite a shock, I still dont quite believe it. For now, I have not heard from Lyra in a while, I hope she is okay.

Adventure still calls for me, I haven't found my end yet no matter how close I get. However, I am learning my limits. I believe its time I invest in some better gear, my sword seems to be rusting a lot quicker now.

I wonder whatever happened to Elian's body. After the news, I wasn't quite sure what to do. However, with the appearance of Lyra, maybe he is has returned also. Who knows at his point, the world seems even more confusing than before.

Who knows what I shall have to write next time, it seems that my life is becoming more interesting with every twist and turn that comes to me.

Journal Entry: Day 68

A roaring fire lit up the night sky. The smell of roasting meat filled the air. Oiren sat comfortably on a log, resting his legs after rushing around so much. Lily was fast asleep, head resting on his lap. The scratching of a quill on parchment was the only thing to break the silence. Oiren intently focused on his writing. The cold was getting to his hands, which had began to turn white, but he persevered.

Oiren closed the book for a moment and turned to Lily. He placed his hand gently on her head as to not wake her. Seeing her resting so comfortably eased him a bit. He looked around at the landscape. The smell of the sea was quite strong here. Just beyond the horizon he could see the lands referred to as Obsidian Isles. He let out a sigh and continued to write.

Oiren closed his journal once again. This time placing it back within his bag. His stomach began to rumble, a deep growl from his barrel of belly. This caused Lily to stir awake. At first she was confused, still half asleep. However the smell of food began to revitilize her. Oiren laughed.

"Its about time we have something to eat, dont you think?"

Journey Entry: Day 68

The days are growing shorter now. I feel the cold coming in fast. However, I have a goal now, a purpose if you would. The hunt for sage's is a long one. I had met with Verula. A lovely only witch, however she could not help me. Nor could I get her to make one of the scrolls. Has some wonderful stories though.

I worry for Lily, I am dragging her around a lot on this task. We havent been able to settle down for very long in one place. I am certain she misses Sophie from Moyale, maybe we will be able to return there once this task is done. She has become a lot quieter recently, I do not know if this is because she is getting old or what. I shall have to keep an eye on her.

I am still concerned for Lyra. The letter I received did not help to alleviate my concern. I shall try to find her when I return. Maybe I will be able to bring Lily along this time.. I dont know...

I hope that this venture comes to an end soon. All this walking around is not for me. Money is becoming a concern now as well. I have had to sell off what little I have. I dont want to sell to much in case a sage needs that item.

Hopefully, by the time of my next entry I will have better news. I am hoping for that. Both me and Lily could do with some peace and quiet. Maybe its time I settle down somewhere, focus my efforts in one area rather than all this traveling around.
