Being a compendium of the studies required to represent the Clans of the Dark Isle of Arcachon.
Greetings, and welcome to The Dark Isle of Arcachon!
My name is Dormondt of House Lankmere. I want to make sure that your experience within our Realm is as fruitful as possible. Also, it is my privilege and duty to show you the basics of the game and the customs of our realm, The Dark Isle of Arcachon.
The first thing that you will want to do is to read the bulletins available in the "Information" section on the left-hand side of the screen. The members of our main ruling body, the Council, puts various items of useful information there. Please let me know if you have any questions about what you see there.
This training course offers one lesson per day which I will message during one of the 2 daily turns. These include the basic and intermediate-level information that will make you a strong Clan Chief and warrior in this great realm. At the end of this 11-day course, if you have any further questions or things that you feel that you would like to or need to learn, let me know and we will work on it together. However, if you feel that you have learned what you can at this stage in your career, I ask that you please "take your final exams" and rate me as your mentor using the appropriate option under the "Actions" menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
You may notice a few differences between the workings of the Isle and those of the mainlanders. Do not be intimidated by these. We have developed in isolation and are admittedly a very suspicious lot, and the way of life that we choose is a bit different than many others. I will try to round out the information of the ways of the Isle with what I know of the ways of the mainlanders so if the time should pass that you leave the clans, you will have a working knowledge of their ways as well.
Also, as you go along in the game you will most likely have questions about things. Feel free to ask me any questions you like, address any concerns you have about the realm or the game with me, or anything else.
If you request it and/or appear particularly gifted in a particular area, I will be inclined to give you advanced study in that area. Please inquire if you are more interested in these programs.
