16.03.12 - The fall of Alebad - Part II - Is this the end of Minas Thalion ? - or the beginning of the rebellion ?

After being dealt a real kicking during the battle with ambassador Lyle, Boen and the last survivors of the caravan retreated into the forest. With Alebad overrun with Lukon troops and Minas Thalion destroyed there would be no need to return there with any more food supplies.

So what to do now ? I seem to be at a crossroad, thought Boen
Join the Guild ? - hardly a good idea, I would be lucky to receive even a single tree as an estate. Nope, theres just to many nobles and to little gold going round up there. How about joining Outer Tilog, I'm sure Baron Haroldin could use another knight to help keep his peasants under the thumb, excuse the pun. But then again, Outer Tilog is quite literally quite different, and I still believe my mind is quite sane enough to avoid going there. So, I'm running out of options in this cold and heartless decision. What about Lukon then ? Really ? Can I even be considering this ? Joining that bunch of organised barbarians, the power brokers of the Colonies ? Well, I guess the best choice is where the gold is. Thats it decided then thought Boen. But just you consider this for just one moment. Are you going to betray your Liege Valdrix, to whom you swore an oath of fealty. To serve his mortal enemy – his sister ! Well, I guess if Valdrix doesn't kill me for leaving him, maby she'll kill me for even knowing him, and Khain for that matter, or Cathal. With his mind definitely made up, Boen started out on the road to the city of Portion and Lukon. Upon arrival -

-cough- I think your missing something my Lord, said the scribe.
Like what ? Said Boen, I don't remember -
The scribe interrupted, the following night at the treetop tavern in South Bakker ? My Lord, you might recall you invited every noble in the region to a party. Even Ambassador Lyle !
Ahh yes, said Boen.
But he never turned up said the scribe. But you were certainly talking up having an immediate rematch with him and all his men, not to mention the frequent toasting to Hulaferd jam, Minas Thalion and the “Dream That Was”.
I may have been slightly unlike myself commented Boen.
Well, later on, a messenger burst in and declared a remnant of Minas Thalion had traveled North and were hiding out in the land of Drenga !
And the rest was history laughed Boen.
