Ishida Family/The Silent

A taciturn eccentricity, faceless and with a title for a name. A persona whose very presence instills discomfort at the best of times. Such is the individual known only as the Silent Ishida.

Physical Appearance

The Silent Ishida is always seen in a thick, black, hooded cloak and black robes. Under the robes is a full length hauberk of fine chain mail, well maintained and flexible but otherwise plain and unadorned. The Silent wears gauntlets and vambraces made of dull steel, with the raven motif on the vambraces indicating allegiance to House Ishida. The robes reach the ankles, but one can see that the Silent wears boots of hardened leather, also in black.

No skin is revealed, but the outfit cuts enough of a figure to indicate the that the Silent is female.

The face of the Silent is covered at all times by a silver mask. The mask is carved with the likeness of a young maiden's facial features, with the mouth curved into an attractive but emotionless half smile. The hood of the Silent's cloak is kept up, hiding the rest of her head from view, but one can see trails of wispy black hair, streaked with strands of white.

The mask ensures that it is impossible to read the Silent's facial expression.

Characteristics

The Silent Ishida does not speak, at least not in public (OOC: surprise surprise). She also rarely writes. All communication from her is carried out by an aide known as the Voice.

The Voice is a wiry, bald headed man of indeterminate age, though he is possibly middle aged. He too wears black robes unadorned with any heraldry or symbol. The Voice speaks and writes fluently. He could be a minor noble or a learned commoner, though no one is sure and the Silent has not shed light on the matter. His origins are unknown.

Belongings of Interest

The Silent is known to own a Zweihänder called Thirst. The sword is long and heavy, necessitating the use of both hands while carrying or wielding it.

The hilt of the sword is very dark grey and decorated with raven motifs. The blade is made of an unknown metal dyed a deep carmine, as if it was bathed in blood. The Silent keeps the blade tightly swathed in cream coloured bandages and cloths. The sword itself is rarely wielded by her, typically being carried into battle (but never used) by a designated manservant who follows her around.
