Unfinished Business

The Grand Duke of Fissoa, Leon Agenor, was still perturbed by the crimes of his former High Judge, Black Bowie, and sought recompense through the Dragon Queen Katayanna. Here is that correspondence.

Letter from Katayanna Ogren

Message sent to: Bowie, Machiavel

I have been asked to pass this letter onto Sir Bowie.

Letter from Leon Agenor (53 minutes ago)

Queen,

Several sourchers have reached me that a certain noble man with the name Bowie Ironsides is within your lands. This man stole over 300 gold pieces in tax collection and 200 gold from my personal wealth before running away from the lands which were so good for him.

While I do not hold any grudge against you and value our good relations I do want this gold back. I shall hold noble Ironsides responsible for all taxes stolen and interests. Could you transfer this letter stating that if he repays the 500 stolen gold pieces all grudge will be forgiven and that he will not be prosecuted by Fissoa law any longer.

Leon Agenor Grand Duke of Grand Duchy of Fissoa, Duke of Fissoa

Katayanna Ogren

Dragon Queen of D'Hara, Duchess of Port Raviel

Letter from Bowie Ironsides

Message sent to: Katayanna, Machiavel

Noble D'Harans,

May I first point out that the Grand Duke is hoodwinking you. He grossly exaggerates the amount of gold that I stole. I came to you with the truth, we accepted an agreement and we are all the better for it. Think of that when he tries to play at your sympathies. Who is lying to you?

Basic answer, I will return nothing. Complicated answer, if he wants it, he can come and get it himself. What's he going to do to you? Nothing. This is between him and I.

Take that to Fissoa for me.

BB,

Bowie Ironsides (Knight of Port Raviel)

Letter from Bowie Ironsides

Message sent to: Leon

You rascal! You are an even bigger crook than I. We both know that 500 gold is double what I stole from Fissoa. What are you trying to do now, steal from me?

I think you are going to have a hard time getting what you want without making a mess of things. Perhaps the wise thing to do is sweep our little feud under the rug and move on.

I doubt you can do anything more.

Black Bowie,

Bowie Ironsides (Knight of Port Raviel)

Letter from Leon Agenor

Learn your place knight,

You have stolen about 250 to 300 in tax gold. Including the support I have send you for your time in Fissoa which was clearly not used for the benefit of Fissoa but your own. 500 gold includes the interests losses and of course your lovely lady Arrabal and your boy Avandor. In Fissoa we take care of the nobility, you have any idea what the costs are of maintaining the family of a former High Judge and Knight.

the 500 gold pieces is a sum of the gold you stole from me, from Fissoa, the interets lost, a little bit extra to forgive you and the cost for caring for your family. Something you fail to do, leaving wife and son for gold. It is only because of luck that you head isn't on a spike when you escaped. It is because of compassion that I give you this change to repay what you have done wrong.

You can choose now pay the 500 gold pieces or face the fact that my good relation with the Dragon Queen will not be in your benefit.

Leon Agenor

Grand Duke of Grand Duchy of Fissoa, Duke of Fissoa

Letter from Bowie Ironsides

(Personal message to Leon)

It disturbs me nill that you would parade the noble Bowie's family infront of me as some sort of sympathy piece!

Your price for forgiveness I cannot pay. I foresee only one inevitable resolution to this matter....

Black Bowie,

Bowie Ironsides (Knight of Port Raviel)

Letter from Leon Agenor

Knight,

The lack of care for your family distrubs me. The offer stands, but when you are captured by Fissoa forces then we shall even the deal.

Leon Agenor

Grand Duke of Grand Duchy of Fissoa, Duke of Fissoa

This matter has still not been put to rest...
