The Honed Ring of Beauty is an ancient artifact from the days of The Great Empire. The ring was a wedding gift given by Emperor TSoma to Calsi, his newly wed bride and hails from an unknown maker. Many in fact consider the ring to be something that was not made but grown instead. The object appears to be a single crystal rose shaped into a ring but it bears no marks from being worked. The fine lines of the veins in the petals of the rose seem to be impervious to even the ravages of time and are as fresh as the day Emperor TSoma placed it upon his beloved’s finger. The colors are unbelievable and most life-like. Some say there is a curse associated with the ring because not long after giving it away, Emperor TSoma dies from an infected wound gotten by an arrow misfire which bounced off a wall and struck him. The wound festered and sickened the Emperor and he died a fortnight after his wedding. The Empress Calsi ended up ruling in his stead but with a broken heart. She never wore the ring on her finger again; instead she had a chain made and wore it around her neck
The ring was recently recovered by the adventurer Morganna in Munawai, not far from where she discovered the Cruel Saber some years earlier. The ring was taken from the body of an Ogress she had slain; the Beast had been wearing it on a chain around its neck.

The Honed Ring of Beauty is still an ancient artifact from the days of The Great Empire. As said before it looks as if it was grown, but as days passed it was once again found by a monster of terrifying magnitude. It was in the hands of a fallen noble who turned to banditry. Offering Kero to work with him Kero refused the work despite all the money and woman he was offered. Yes he was that kind of a guy the hardheaded justice type of man.
The description of the Honed Ring of Beauty is very different from what it was in the past. The ring seems dead lifeless like a dead insect, the crystal rose is withering as if it lost all hope of ever living. The ring seems as if death has worn it as a prize and gave it to his loyal knight. But in death there is beauty... Seeing that last of a dying breath fade away.
