The Glowing Girdle of Glory
The Characteristics
What catches the eye at first instance is of course the fact that the girdle glows like a heavenly aureole. The shine is silver, as the girdle itself, betraying one of the expensive materials of which it was made. When you look further than the silver, you can see that the girdle has some odd irregularities in its surfcase. They look like claws, and when you think about it, it somehow seems that the shine is coming from those irregularities.
The Discovery
Lucius had been wandering around in the city of Palnasos, where he was in fact seeking to buy a house. Of course, as the gods of fate and the life of an adventurer would not permit him to settle down without bestowing more quests upon him. One of these was a sage.
At first, Lucius had not recognised this man as a sage at all. He was dressed as a member of the royal court, and most likely he was one. Lucius had been confused at first when the man adressed him on the street, but he figured he could better make some contacts if he were to buy a house.
The man however didn't seem very interested in Lucius, but more in his backpack. When he asked for items that Lucius held in the pack, Lucius knew who he was talking to. Confident that this man was not going to rob him, well-mannered and such, Lucius handed him the items. He gave him a silver goblet, the claws of a monster and a rare woodlad flower that had by now dried up already.
The sage turned away and lead him to a smithy, where no one was present. This seemed oddly normal to Lucius, as if he knew it was normal that the smith could not be present and was away. The sage himself used the tools and within minutes he held out a ring. The sage called it the 'Glowing Girdle of Glory' before he left Lucius in astonishment.

A factual history is of course unextistant, but the powers and mystique abilities will without a doubt be part of history one day.
The Girdle had the amazing ability to shine in the darkness without any material to feed on when the owner wore it. The darker, the brighter. Lucius himself claimed he was sure that the Girdle has healing powers too, as he coudl have sworn that he had had a scar on his arm before he wore it.
