Moses McGahee's unit, the Bone Collectors were clearly the strongest troop in the battle, advancing in an unstoppable manner. They lost some men because the archer fire, but they reached the enemy lines quite fast and engaged in close combat.

Moses personally led his unit, which, being large, was in the path of many enemy troops. He was wounded, but continued to fight fiercely. After a time, the weaker Ashlantean were routed, leaving the stronger ones, like the Bone Collectors, holding their ground. By this time, nearly half of Moses' troops was unable to fight, but still, they numbered 62.

In the confusion, some of the less experienced Bone Collectors were drawn away, breaking their formation and leaving a path open to Moses. Seeing this, Divayth took his unit, the Angels Encarmine and led them into to core of the Bone Collectors. Moses saw the threat, turned around and expected the attack. He raised his blade and struck Haekir, the closest Angel, wounding him. Divayth advanced, ready to fight with Moses. The hero defended himself for a time, but after a while the already wounded and somewhat tired Moses couldn't stop Divayth's lucky attack and was mortally wounded. He stepped back, and with a terrible war cry, he severed a Carelian's head with his last blow.

Divayth considered this a death worthy of a hero.
