Events Leading to the Crisis

  • Prime Minister Cedric stepped down in order to let someone else rule Fronen.
  • Grand Justiciar Enzeru gets elected Prime Minister. Krider gets elected Grand Justiciar.
  • Discussion in their senate lead to some disagreement among the senators.
  • General Grimbaldus calls the army to prepare for war against Avalon, while no political stance has been taken. There are objections against this.
  • Enzeru appoints Krider as a count while a discussion who to appoint (Trumpet was favored) is going on in the senate. There are objections against this.

The Crisis Begins

  • January 12th, Krider bans Epaminonda because Enweil asked to. Epaminonda was just travelling through Enweilian regions back home. There are many objections against this.
  • Krider, senator Ravenous and Enzeru have a personal vendetta against Banker Apothes, because he disagrees with them but expresses himself in a wrong way.
  • Krider steps down because of the many objections, without being forced to. Alexius gets elected Grand Justiciar.
  • Grimbaldus steps down because of objections and because he cannot stand the ongoing discussion, without being forced.

  • January 13th, Grimbaldus starts the rebellion. Senator Ravenous, Krider and others join the rebels. They claim that Prime Minister Enzeru is also on their side. Cedric and all landed nobles (who deserved their title by serving Cedric when he was Prime Minister) and the older Fronen members join the loyalists.
  • They want to reform Fronen because they claim that the previous government was corrupt. However, the previous government consisted of Enzeru as Prime Minister (who they claim to be on the rebel side as well), Krider as Grand Justiciar and Grimbaldus as General. That leaves Apothes as only government member, which they had a personal vendetta against.

  • January 14th, Enzeru strips Apothes from his titles and accuses him of imposture, probably only because of his personal vendetta as Apothes didn't do anything that was not noble. He then exiled the 3 dukes from the realm, and provided as sole reason "For the sake of the ressurection of Fronen". Probably only because the dukes were powerful loyalists. Afterwards Enzeru gives in to the rebellion, which therefore succeeds.
  • Rebel leader Grimbaldus appoints fellow rebel Ravenous as General and fellow rebel Lucius as Banker.
  • Loyalists Alexius steps down for a proper election for Grand Justiciar. However time is short, and people didn't change there vote, so Krider gets re-elected.
  • Krider revokes the right for voting.
  • Lucius revoked all tax shares from the knights and granted all gold to the rebel government.
  • Alexius calls for a counter rebellion.

  • January 15th, Adras Duke of Fronepu begins to disband the city's militia.
  • Grimbaldus removes Adras from command of the city.
  • Grimbaldus then questions the nobility of Duke Adras causing Adras and nobles in Fronepu to lose honor. Many nobles protest.
  • At sunset, within hours both Alexius, the counter-rebel leader and Grimbaldus the new Prime Minister were attacked by infiltrators and subsequently wounded.
  • Krider steps down so nobles can elect both a Prime Minister and Grand Justiciar.

Crisis Resolved

  • January 16th, the election results come in. Cedric is elected Prime Minister. Alexius is elected as Grand Justiciar.
  • The rebels led by Grimbaldus begin to disperse disperse. Alexius is unable to ban the rebels because Judges are not allow to issue bans in the first few days of their term.
  • Fronen's House of Lords begin discussing who should become Minister of Defense and Minister of Finances, and how best to go about repairing the realm.

  • January 17th, Grand Justiciar Alexius banishes Grimbaldus and many of his supporters. The House of Lords begins to discuss harsher punishments for the ringleaders and lighter punishments for some rebels.
  • Rebel JeanOlivier Chenier calls for a new rebellion. Nobody joins him.

  • January 18th, Rebel JeanOlivier sends his archers in a suicide mission against Wudenkin in Avalon.
  • Unsurprisingly, the one man revolt fails.
  • Almost all the planned banishments go into effect.

  • January 20, JeanOlivier is captured in Avalon and deported to the Colonies.

  • January 23, Rebel Leader Grimbldus is privately tortured, then publicly executed in Fronepu.
