Fontaine Family/Ramon

Ramon is the black sheep of the family, smuggled away to the East Island. He live for Caligus, for which he has served a dozen roles. At first, as Lord of Winkamus, then Supra & Aureus for a short time. Ramon was always short of money, and lent heavily on his family who mantained a mansion on the island. His aunt in particular was generous, right up until she cut him off.

The Perdan war machine stirred, and Fallengard rallied. Ramon was posted in Mashhad for a year, maintaining the militia and drawing a poor salary. His blockade managed to pin the Fallen in Hamadan until a fitful peace was accomplished.

Finally Ramon became Judge of Caligus for a time, and then Duke of Domus under Queen Teniel, with whom he had a long and secret romance.

Ramon was the target of a profound portal incident from which many lives and livestock were lost. The titansprite Quercus appeared to Ramon in the fracas and bade him three quests. The first, to spread his faith - the church of humanity - to the Obsidian Isles. She second, to see the Isles restored to major power. The third, Ramon keeps to himself.

He cast off his luxurious duchy and travelled to Perdan. The high level temple there allowed him to take the cloth and he travelled for a time as a priest. He visited the high priest Deklan and preached where he was allowed (and some places he was not). Finally with several knight colleagues of Caligus, they approached the Obsidian Isles. A short campaign saw him take the crown in a massive upset. His rule was short and the following rebellion eventually rebuffed.

He returned to Caligus despondent.

Ramon was killed in battle against the Perdanese alliance, at the age of 51. A supported of the Xavax, he had been a fundamental part of the Caligus rally to their cause.
