Felsenbach Family/Wassgandr/Linhai 1/26/23

Heliacal Wassgandr Felsenbach stood on the battlefield, the wind whipping around him as he surveyed the destruction before him. The ground was littered with the bodies of his men, the Ascendants, and the monsters they had been fighting. He clutched the Lance of Victory tightly in his hand, the Scorching Pendant on his chest, and the Singing Manual in the other.

He had led his men into battle against the monsters, but the battle had not gone as planned. The monsters were stronger than they had anticipated, and despite the Ascendants' best efforts, they had been forced to retreat.

Wassgandr's heart ached as he looked upon the fallen. Twenty of his men had been slaughtered during the retreat, and many more were wounded. He knew that he should be proud of the Ascendants for their bravery, but all he could feel was a deep sense of loss and sadness.

He looked down at his own wounds, sustained from the monsters' attacks. He knew that he had been lucky to survive, but he also knew that he had to keep going. He had to lead his men to safety and regroup for the next battle.

With a deep breath, he lifted his head and began to give orders to his remaining men. "Ascendants, we must retreat from this field of battle. We have lost too many of our own, but we must honor their sacrifice by surviving and fighting on. We will regroup and come back stronger than ever."

The Ascendants, wounded and tired, looked to their Heliacal with determination in their eyes. They knew that he was right, and they would follow him to the end.

As they retreated, Wassgandr could not help but think of the men he had lost. He knew that they had died for a noble cause, and he would make sure that their sacrifice was not in vain. He would make sure that their deaths were avenged.

With this thought in mind, Heliacal Wassgandr led his men to safety, determined to come back and defeat the monsters once and for all.
