De Blanc Family/Dieter/Story/Ethiala/Arrival/At the Palace

Inside the Palace, the messenger was halted by some other guards.

"Halt! Where do you think you're going?"
"I am being sent by my master, Sir Dieter de Blanc, to deliver a letter to his Majesty the King."
"You can not enter the Royal Palace unless if you are of the court or of a noble blood. You should address yourself to the councillors' scribe, if you want your letter to have any chance..."
"Where can I find the councillors' scribe?"
"He's standing over there."

One of the guards pointed a busy scribe whom the messenger approached after a while.

"I bear a letter from my master, Sir Dieter de Blanc, that must be delivered to his Majesty the King."
"The King is still recovering after a successful attempt from the enemy to unbalance Ethiala and delay our cause."
"I am already aware of the sad news, but my master wishes the letter to be delivered. Maybe you can inform the rest Councillors about the letter."
"At the moment, I am very busy doing more important things, as we are in the state of war and letters come and go on all the time. I doubt if your letter will have any luck here, but you can check if Bolstrood Dodd is still here. He's the High Marshal's squire and the only one working until that late in the night. But you may not be that lucky... I saw him leaving a few moments ago."
"Where can I find him?"
"You can check in his room or else you may find him at his home. I'll give you the instructions how to reach there."

The Councillors' scribe wrote down the instructions on where to find Bolstrood Dodd's home as the messenger was checking the squire's room.

"If you do not find him there, you may check at the Tavern next to his residence. Not often, but sometimes he goes for some drink after the intense work. Anyway, I'll try to dispatch a note to him as well, so that he may contact you, if you fail to find him."

The messenger took the instructions and moved out of the Palace to meet with the knight. Then, he informed his master about everything said and done inside the Palace and they all left for Bolstrood Dodd's residence.

After a while...

On the way to Bolstrood Dodd's and after wandering for quite some time in Topenah's alleys, a letter reached Dieter.

"Scribe... Read it for me..."

The letter was from the man they were looking for and it was delivered by a young boy. Dieter asked the boy.

"Where can I find your father?"
"He is not my father, milord. I am just doing my job."
"I want you to deliver a letter to him for me."
"It will cost you 1 silver coin, milord!"
"A tough guy, you are boy! You are good at negotiations. Maybe one day you will be working for me too... You must grow up though and learn how to fight with a sword first! I don't want a young body next to mine in my last heroic battle."

Dieter handed his letter to the young boy and along with it a few silver coins. As the boy was leaving, he turned to his messenger.

"Follow him..."
