The Dazzling Warhammer of Flame was recovered by the adventurer Lokenth Daycryn in Treror. After struggling against the beasts of the wilderness for days, he rested to regain his strength and resumed the hunt. He was about to give up the search when he encountered several groups of monsters led by a large, horned beast of unknown name and type. He was familiar with the area, and after leading them on a chase into a narrow ravine he turned and slaughtered them as they came at him, gutting each one with his trusty sword and slaying the horned beast. A few monsters escaped, apparently unwilling to follow their leader into slaughter. From the remains of the battle, amidst the gore and corpses, he found valuables totaling ten silver coins in worth and a warhammer.

Lokenth had an academician in the nearest city study the weapon. The Dazzling Warhammer of Flame is a massive and ancient war hammer of iron with a blazing orange bronze and ruby encrusted grip. It was forged in the land of Arcachon by a nameless chief, and later wielded by heroes on both sides of the wars between the Svunnetland Empire and Arcaea, before finally falling into obscurity and becoming lost.

King Velax de Vere of Arcaea commissioned Lokenth to deliver the warhammer to Edmund O'Neil, High Lord of Kindara, which he did.
