Revolt in Frundi May 28, 2009
Once again, we at the Dark Citadel Times have been graced by the literary insights of the mysterious Anon E. Mous. The note we received reads as follows:

Greetings, fellow Guild members! Excellent news today! Since setting the locals in Frundi quite afluster by our recent exploits in the region, Wetham has worked as feverishly as they are able - which is about as efficient as the efforts of a stuck pig, I rather imagine - to calm things down. However, their efforts seem to have only made things worse. Yesterday morning a brawl broke out between locals and the guards of some of the nobles, which heated up and soon escalated into riots that lasted through the night. The following morning, a full-fledged revolt had been fomented, and many nobles were forced out of the city! According to one informant, the instigation for the revolt was rather ridiculous- yet predictable, given the people we're speaking of. Apparently, a crowd of locals had been trying rather intensely to get a hold of the nobles to beg them to protect them against the fearsome armies at their borders. Having had a fair length in which the region had been filled with naught but security, the weak-willed Wethamities had sunk into a dreamy-eyed stupor which we broke them from. Realizing that a threat far greater in might than that of their own simpering armies was at hand, they attempted to push past the guardsmen to reach the nobles. No doubt as frightened by the Guild's skills as the locals were, a guardsmen took his fear out on one of the petitioners. This act of violence was the impetus that spurred the entire debacle.

Leave it to a Wethamite to start a revolution over a simple matter of fisticuffs.

Printing Resumes May 18, 2009
Once again, the Times was forced to go on Hiatus, this time due to lack of funding and time on the hands of the writers. We closed the presses in November 2008, and since then, our once bustling headquarters in Dark Citadel has remained empty, without life.

But today, with a war winding down for the Assassins, old writers ready to work again and new ones hopefully on the way, the Times is reopening, with the same dedication to our goals. Knowledge is our trade, and what we strive to make available to all.

As always, the Times needs writers. If you are in the Colonies, and feel you qualify for the task, please contact the ruler of Assassins with your application.
