| January 1, 1009: The defeat of our forces in the Mines of Isadril allowed Ibladesh to subvert the populace and overthrow the local government; completing their takeover of the region. Do not worry dear readers for their deliverance from the religious zealots of Ibladesh is forthcoming. |
| Campaign to Liberate the Mines of Isadril | |
| January 5-6, 1009: Our armies flush with new recruits eager to prove their mettle by liberating the Mines of Isadril; launched the first battle of the new year between Caligus and Ibladesh. This bloody and hard fought battle resulted in a close victory for Caligus, despite the valiant if ultimately futile efforts of the defending units. This victory over the defending Ibladeshi was only marred by the capture of our King. After this defeat the oppressive forces of Ibladesh retreated to await reinforcements. With the arrival of fresh troops on both sides a decisive engagement ensued, resulting once again in another triumph for our forces. With the majority of the enemy's standing army laying strewn throughout the Mines of Isadril like freshly hewn wheat, the surviving forces of Ibladesh abandoned the Mines of Isadril. Our forces continuted to hunt down stragglers resulting in the following skirmish. With our glorious armies in control of the Mines of Isadril, only time will tell if we can complete our campaign of liberation... |
