Diagonal cross in white, emblazoned over a blue field to symbolize the ancient practice of apply war paint. The roaring red lion represents undying courage and the Caledoni fighting spirit.

Origin and Characteristics

The Ariadna were once a clan of the Caledoni, a proud race of warrior peoples who inhabit the highlands of the Divide Mountains in Dwilight. Their success over several generations have led to the elevation of the Ariadna into nobility. This has also had the effect of ensuring (grudging) respect and support from the other minor Caledoni clans.

Like other Caledoni, offspring of the Ariadna show a tendency to possess red or auburn hair, a good sense of humour, and a tenacious "never-say-die" attitude to all things in life.

The latter is perhaps best exemplified in the Ariadna motto "Deas Gu Cath"; "Ready for the Fight".
