A rectangular shield almost the height of a man. It appears to be one single piece of a shiny-red metal, and it is surprisingly light for its size. No blacksmith knows quite what the metal is, or what techniques could have crafted one piece so large.

The shield bears no device, though a few smudges of ancient paint suggest that it did once and could do so again. A single embossed line highlights the rim. The embossed line has a smudged look, as though at one time a great fire melted it slightly. Chiselled into the inside of the shield, in an angular, archaic script, are the words 'Dragonslayer had me made'.

Ingratt Lydleve took this item from the remains of a massive undead champion, who was leading a warband of revenant corpses in Rustton, on Atamara.
