Concerning the Republican Header, there's this button called Show preview, that allows you to look at how the page would be if you would save it then, without actually saving it already. It also allows you to optimise the page before you save it, so you don't have to correct it over and over again, spamming the Recent Changes page with lines of edits over and over again. Hi everyone -

If you missed any events (like SWI actually closing, etc.) during the past days, it's because an emergency came up and I was without Internet for a few days. I could resolved the emergency just in time for a short trip over the new year. Since we're already sitting here packed and ready, I can't put an hour or so into BM to set things up. Once I return, in the first week of january, I will set everything straight. If anything comes up due to this "limbo" state, I'd like to ask all of you to treat any problems with fairness and honour. In the past, it's never been a problem.

In this sense, you all have a good new year or whatever the local good wishes are.

Man, you know what - I don't know what your problem is, but you are acting like a child. It seems like your one and only purpose both IC and OOC is to harp and complain about my CHARACTER and Everguard. I didn't trail around and slander your character in the newspapers, I didn't even write about it in our own newspaper, but you keep hiding behind your "anonymous" tag, and trail around after us. Let it go already - I'm sorry your plans didn't work out, but its all in character and you need to accept that. I've tolerated my share of you guys piling on Everguard, but I think you've said your piece already for god's sake - to constantly write the same stuff over and over and over makes you look like a little kid throwing a tantrum. If you want to keep it up, fine, be my guest - but its pretty pathetic... especially because what happened to me, and Everguard has absolutely nothing to do with "bad leadership" and is 100% due to stupid game meta stuff - first having three region lords booted for camelcase names (when all three of them submitted name change requests to remove the camel case, that never got done) and then immediately afterward before I had a chance to submit a replacement, the Tom induced game bug removed our rulership, and due to the structure Fisc was ineligable to be re-elected, and we had a referendum for 5 days before we had a new ruler - so all those regions revolted because there was no one to appoint replacement lords, and the other ones were being rampaged by monsters. I'm fine with a certain amount of in character "gloating" or whatever, but I am getting a little tired of it OOC - especially given that it looks like you have a vendetta/grudge and you're just acting like a dick. I could have written like 8 articles completely slandering Hericus and such, but I didn't at all. Its kind of messed up that I'm put in a position of being forced to write basically hate articles in return just to defend my character and the realm against this BS. I'd appreciate it if you just let it go now, I mean, seriously. Maia didn't happen, its not the end of the world. You can probably just create it somewhere else anyway. Arylon, perhaps it is you who should keep it in character. You've made an aggressive xenophobic realm that claims half a continent and tries to pick fights with anyone entering their 'claim' no matter how ridiculous that claim is. You can't expect there not to be some backlash in the presses for that. And if something happens in the game code that affects your role playing then learn to role with it (pun intended) rather than simply getting hostile OOC at someone else who already is rolling with it. -Balewind

I think you are misunderstanding the point of this. First of all, I reject your assertions - the realm is neither xenophobic nor aggressive. I'm sorry if this is so difficult for many of you to understand (probably because the situation has not happened to your realms), but colonies being formed at your border without so much as a note informing us of such, especially when our realm planned to go there next, happens to be a provocative move. If we were aggressive, we would have simply moved in and crushed both of them no questions asked. Everguard started as a colony, so I (IC and OOC) respect how hard it is to build a new realm, so I had no desire to destroy any of them - but I'll be damned if my character was going to allow his territory to be eaten into by colonies that didn't even have the decency to ASK "hey, we're planning to go next door, that won't be a problem will it?". Claim half the continent? Yeah, nice try... we claimed east of Gaston down to Eidulb, and the Libidizedd Island... that's less than 20 regions... that is HARDLY half the island my friend. Not that any of this is relevant to what I was telling to Ceorl - it just needed to be said.

The point I'm making with him is that he has an ooc vendetta against me, my character and the realm because he got thrown out of the realm for being in the underground, and that spoiled his desire to found a new realm - Maia. He messaged me OOC and tried to get me to not ban him because he said he wasn't really in the underground and it was an inaccurate report - in other words, he tried to use OOC stuff to powergame me into ignoring an in game event (agents finding him in the underground) and not playing my character how it should be played. I felt bad for him, because I was giving him and his people shelter so they could found a realm in Chrysantalas, but I was playing a character and responding to in game events so I still banned him. It sucks for him, and I never wanted to "screw his character over" but that's how the cookie crumbles, unfortunately.

He's taking that and spending the bulk of his time writing for the DD and such and doing nothing more than bitching about Everguard/Fisc and reveling in the realm having a few struggles (all of which are meta in origin, not due to crappy management). The realm IS having some difficulty, and so I understand articles being written about that, but its now getting just a little overboard, which is why I said something. Its really getting petty, small and lame now. I have no problem with "press backlash" - but I DO have a problem when somebody (you'll notice I'm writing this on HIS user page, not any of the other people writing for the daily) is writing based on an ooc grudge and just doing it to needle and annoy somebody - and doing almost nothing BUT that. You are writing bitchy articles based on a vendetta that you have in a pretend game where we're parading around like medieval Knights and you're telling ME to get a life? You know very well that you're just pissed off that I wouldn't break character and spare your character being banned based on your OOC arguments, thus effectively killing the realm you wanted to make, and that's why you're doing it. If it was just your character that was causing it, then I wouldn't have gotten as many OOC messages about this as I have from you. Its pretty sad man, its just a game, and grudges, slander and smug arrogance really should not have any part of it. There's a point where "kicking you when you're down" regarding something a lot of people have worked really hard on gets extremely pathetic. How thick this this bunch of garbage coming from somone who consistently breaks the rules, ignores the style guide, spews crap on the user pages of people for writing ingame articles, checks the history of the wiki, and then proceeds to comment on stories written by an anonymous writer! Play by the rules! My char has just as much right to have a genuine IC reaction, you aren't the only person playing this game! Dont tell me how to play my char!
