The TattleMaster is BattleMaster's first, and only, OOC newspaper dedicated to discussions about the game of BattleMaster itself. Here you will find information regarding bugfixes, new features, changes in game mechanics, and probably even a few FAQs and interviews.
New AttributesAugust 9, 2007
The short-lived Repute system is being replaced on testing islands with a new system, referred to so far as New Attributes. The four new attributes are Achievements, Repute, Chivalry, and Notoriety. These attributes should provide an interesting new way to evaluate the past actions and behaviours of characters.

Clean Up the TroublesAugust 1, 2007
Several longstanding issues that were created by earlier versions of the new allegiance system codes have finally been addressed on testing islands today, including imperial regions not tagged as such, duchies experiencing realm mergers not recognized as part of the realm, adventurers having oaths and estates, paused knights still retaining their oaths and eating up shares, and some knights having multiple oaths.

Preparing an AmbushJuly 26, 2007
People have begun to notice a new feature on testing islands in the Orders section: "Ambush enemies... - prepare a trap and get them from behind." Exact details are unknown, but it appears that defending units will now be able to set ambushes for attackers. "An ambush lets you show up as normal in all scout reports and other information displays, but in combat your men will attempt to surprise the enemy and attack them from the flanks or back.". Will the ambushing units line up behind the attackers in formation and charge into the attackers rear ranks from behind? If anyone uses this feature, it would be great to get a report of how it works.

Stripping Titles and DuelsJuly 26, 2007
Questions regarding this feature have recently arisen inside Bug #3320. To clarify, the duel challenges the ruler is unable to refuse are automatically generated, which the questioned noble can access directly through a link inside the stripping title message. If the questioned noble attempts to issue extra duels to the ruler, it will cause the unrefusable duels to defunct, which is now waiting to be fixed.

Beluaterra InvasionJuly 19, 2007
The Beluaterra invasion has gone into full swing with the arrival of massive Netherworld forces. With the worst testing bugs fixed, the fight for the survival of mankind can finally begin.

A New Newspaper and a New FeatureJuly 16, 2007
To all lucky readers that are currently reading the TattleMaster, you have just witnessed the birth of the first OOC newspaper of the BattleMaster community!

Well, I surely want to tell you much more than that about the newspaper but, I am on the run right now, so how about some short coverage on an upcoming new feature first: there is going to be a new way to convert into a religion without the need of travelling to a temple! And yes, for religions alone. The option, however, is open for pagan characters only, and the presence of "renowned" priests is required.

Coming Soon to a Wiki Near You!July 10, 2007
The TattleMaster is currently under development. Hopefully it will soon be operational. Still working on formatting and layout issues. I'll post a message when it's completed. Yes, the header graphic is just a placeholder! Gias Kay Lee will take care of making a real one as soon as he gets a chance.
