Closing Borders

Prime Minister Retravic of Fwuvoghor hs recently sent out this message:

"As you know, the Republic of Fwuvoghor is a member of the Ceded City Alliance. Some of you may also beware that we have a temporary alliance with Riombara - one forged by Dirrik. Currently there is a conflict between these two alliances - Irombrozia, a member of the CCA, is at war with Riombara. After much thought on the subject, I have decided that RoF's treaty with the CCA has priority over the temporary alliance with Riombara. As such, relations with Riombara will be lowered to neutral. RoF will not make any hostile moves.

With this change of stance something else also happens. The gateway to Riombara, Fwuvoghor, hereby closes her borders to all seeking to provide assistance to Riombara."

The Republic of Fwuvoghor's capital city Fwuvoghor is one of two routes one can take to reach Riombara. The other is the southern route, that one is blocked by Luz de Bia and Enweil. Fronen, being Riombara's staunchest ally will be most affected by this. Until this point, Fronen and Fwuvoghor have had good relations, however this change of policy will almost certainly strain the relationship between our two Republics.

Fronenian Elections

And so, after a not-so-hot campaign, Duke Enzeru of Mhed won, unconstested, his bid as Prime Minister of Fronen. After the decision of former Prime Minister Cedric not to run again, after some rather vocal oposition as to how some things were being done, sir Enzeru had announced he would run, and with no one opposing the idea, a few weeks later it happened. The trop three bids were:

  • Enzeru 153 59.8 %
  • Tiridius 16 6.3 %
  • Beowulf 16 6.3 %

As for the Grand Justiciar, after the campaign, filled with bad puns, which got more or less heated at times, of Krider, Beowulf, and my partner journalist Alexius. Krider running a mainly pro-status quo campaign, and the two others planning on the draft on a constitution. Though the two latter both wanted a constitution, and with their votes combined one of them would have won, some other important differences between the two candidates would have driven some of their votes to vote for Krider instead of the other pro-constitional candidate, making Krider the favored candidate no matter who would have ran. The results were:

  • Krider 46 31.7 %
  • Beowulf 26 17.9 %
  • Alexius 21 14.5 %
