===Allies in Old Rancagua Victorious===

Old Rancaguan forces begin their offensives into the Kalmar Islands--will Sirion help them?  Not for that battle.  The Kalmar Islands were jointly colonized by Perdan and Old Rancagua.  Sirion agreed never to set foot on those islands unless the Kalmarians did one of two things:  1. Threatened the very existence of Old Rancagua, 2. Set foot in Sirion Lands or 3. Taunt us into battle with slander and liesTo our knowledge, they have done neither of those three things, so Sirion will continue her peace pact with Kalmar.

While Doc was Prime Minister of Sirion, Former Queen Lorraine of Perdan '''PROMISED''' Sirion that Perdan would help Old Rancagua settle any shennanigins in the Kalmar Islands, which then led to Sirion agreeing to a Peace pact with KI because her forces would be able to avoid more war.

===Caligus desires Peace===

We hope that our allies find peace with KI, or that Perdan makes good on her word, and helps them do whatever it is they need to do in KI.  However, the editors strongly feel that Perdan has made too many diplomatic errors to even make good on that promise.

===War with Caligus===

While Doc was Prime Minister of Sirion, he established a peace pact with their enemies in Caligus under the wise King In Dying Days.  The agreement revolved around the safe passage of traders through each respective realm's borders.  It was believed that free trade would be a tool of peace in the future, so Doc was laying some of the tracks for it.  One war ended, and a good thing came of it.

Many years later, Queen Gywnyth decided to invade Sirion's friends in Faith down in Ibladesh--a realm that Sirion had been feeding via trade since anyone can remember.  Sirion asked Caligus to please refrain from their war there, as it would create more war and not less.  The people of Caligus said No, and Sirion dropped relations to Neutral, and raised them to Alliance with Ibladesh, to show them that Sirion was serious about this matter.  There was little sense in Sirion going so far south with food, that Caligus was simply going to plunder after delivering.

Queen Gywynth proceeded to discuss the matter with her people, and she decided that she would withdraw from Ibladesh's front '''if''' Sirion were to withdraw from Oligarch's front.  We said no, she said "too bad" and closed her borders to our traders--so Sirion declared war.  The people of Caligus laughed at Sirion's declaration saying that we were too far away to cause an impact, and that Ibladesh would now starve because the peace had ended.  Sirion warned Caligus that she could not afford a war with Ibladesh, and asked for the ''fair'' return to the status qou:  Peace based on free trade.  The Government of Caligus thought they had an advantage in the negotiations, and said "Our way, or Bust."

Queen Gywnyth was able to get Fontan to close its borders to Sirion forces heading down to her lands.  A major inconvenience.  The terms were simple:  Do not use our lands as platforms for invading Caligus, or to retreat through after fighting Caligus.  Why did Fontan agree to this Agreement?  Because Caligus had closed HER borders to Ubent's offensive movements in the North, so Fontan repaid the favor TEN-TIMES-FOLD in our humble opinion, and did the same for Caligus.

So the only way to access Caligus lands would be through the "Longer Way" so to speak, and use Perdanese lands as the platform--or Ubentian lands, they too border Caligus--rather than Fontanese border regions.

We at the Tribune hope that our General Boom Boom finds a way to invade Caligus using enemy regions as our platform, and properly adjusts his tactics in anticipation of a ''longer'' route of retreat.  How long the treaty Fontan has with Caligus is unknown, but the Warriors of Sirion hope it is not too much longer.  Caligus' treaty with Ubent lasted only a pair of months, and Fontan has already allowed this treaty to run significantly longer than that.

===Oligarch Destroyed===

Oligarch finally fell last month after a feirce battle around the city of Oligarch itself by the Combined forces of Sirion, Fontan and Old Rancagua. This nation has long been the thorn in Sirion's side, and now we are free of it. There was much rejoicing as they watched thousands of Oligarchian prisinors paraded through the streets, marching out of Oligarch City--forever we hope.

This defeat was the blow that broke the Southern alliance's back, and now the jaws of the Northern Trinity has begun to close around the remaining realms that spread corruption and war. Watch this space for more news as it develops...

===Doc steps down===

Doc Primus, the long standing leader of Sirion stepped down recently as he said he would, once Oligarch was Destroyed. Sir Handow has now been elected in his place, and then re-elected, as leader of Sirion. Doc is now duke of the conqured city, Oligarch. A bit of irony, don't you think?

===Sirion Marches on Perdan===

The Army of Sirion has marched to Bescanon in an attempt to help their ally, Fontan, take it over. But their is hot debate among nobles as to whether or not this is the right thing to do. We will have more news on this as it follows...
