| Meldeen Recaptured | |

Today, Combined forces from Tara, Cagalin Empire and Darka defended an invasion from forces of Abington, Redspan and Carelia. The defeat was major as several important figures the enemy forces were both wounded and captured. The Masacre took place shortly after sunrise on the outskirts of Meldeen. Tsubaki, the General of Cagalin Empire, took control of the battlefield and ensured the victory. Lister, Tara's trusted General, was injured in the battle, but doctors say he should be up and around any day now. After the battle, and the huge failure of the Southern Alliance, the peasants of Meldeen quickly warmed to the idea of being ruled by Tara once again. "I was pleased with the outcome", Achilles was quoted as saying. "Our next steps should be a bit easier given the amount of loss suffered by our enemies. Tara and her allies are cleaning up the area and preparing for any further invasions, or, possibly one of their own. No one really knows what will happen next. |
| Peace talks with Redspan? | |

It was rumored that Achilles and Shamus of Redspan were in talks to negotiate peace early last week. Some report that both were unwilling to budge. "Shamus' appetite was a little too large for me to share a table with him, I'm afraid." Achilles was heard saying to one of his Lieutenants. "I just can't see any real peace from any nation until they have no choice". "Our fingers are crossed", one peasant was heard saying at the news of peace talks. "I don't like war, I'm a business man. I sell pots, but no one buys when arrows are flying through the air!" The overall feeling in Meldeen is mixed. Some support the war, others hate being the object of the war. |
| Major Battle won | |

News spread quickly that the battle in Meldeen was coming. One of the Largest ever seen took place today, on the outskirts of Meldeen. Allied forces were fortified and ready for the upcoming attack by Axis forces today. Rumors report that Achilles had dispatched spies to screw up the roads between Stargard and Meldeen. This had huge affects on the outcome of the battle. Sydney Carton was rumored to have been the hero of that mission! Word on the street is, those who support the war, are largely in favor of Tara and her allies. They like to see an underdog fight back against the oppresive regiems of realms like Abington and Redspan. |
| Welcome New Troopleaders | |

Tara's influx of immigrants looking to join the great nation of Tara has declined a bit over the past few weeks. Still, Tara has received several new Troop Leaders who've shown their eagerness to fight and follow orders. Achilles wishes to welcome the new troop leaders, and appologizes for their getting thrown in the fire rather quickly. |
| Lister, General of Tara wounded | |

People were racing around telling everyone that Lister was wounded in battle today. The General, was said to have galantly lead his men into an attack, when a stray arrow, by chance, caught him in his shoulder, sending him flying from his horse. He landed on his shoulder, causing the wound from the arrow to be more serious than otherwise would have been. He was immediately removed from the battle field, where, Johnathon from Tara, stepped up and finished leading the charge for Tara's troops. Word comes that he's doing well, and will be returning to duty within a day or two. Doctor's want to be extra cautious as the upcoming battles will just get harder and harder. |
