<Xolotl> The basics of what I had thought of so far: there are no "I do"s,
if you can drag the other to the ceremony you can marry them. Permanent visible
bondage through the form of a tatoo which would include the partner's name,
possible polygamy if all spouses are consenting (deceased are always considered
consenting unless they leave a will stating otherwise), mix of strong herbs for the rituals (...)

<Xolotl> Virginity seems a necessary virtue of the era since everything works with bloodlines which need to be assured
<Xolotl> anciant-style "first night" ceremony (or however these are called) where the blood-stained sheets are publicly revealed

<Xolotl> Sharing of blood makes sense as well
