Talk:Far East/Lands of Osai

The Osai is a religion based loosely on buddism. The Osai means the path or something along those lines. The monks of the Osai were the chroniclers of history of the north. Their monks went on pilgrimages across the lands to find their path to learn about the cultures and history of the realms. Their main temple is in Ossaet which is a temple city(the city formed around the temple) but this is not where the religion originated, that is a bit I don't remember. Either way I don't think you can call them original inhabitants of FEI, the monks were one of the many groups that existed from pre-empirical times.--Aralaiquendi 19:34, 10 November 2008 (CET)

Aye, I've heard about groups such as the Drow and whatnot, but I thought they would be one of the major pre-empirical groups. On top of that though, it is meant to be an IC writing, not a more correct OOC one, however it may be a good idea to change it to "one of the original groups". Importantly however, the Osai, Osaido, they are a good place to start and refer to mainly because they would have been one of the very first groups to start taking down the continents history. As a scholar it is a tribute to them, and there are always cases of mistakes made in writing history, especially earlier stuff, and without globalisation, every region would have their own idea of how their world originally came about. It is when their people specifically began to interact in the world and with others (the Arcaeans under the warlord of Nocaneb uniting the north for example) that things start to come away from the myth and legend. --Aerywyn 02:03, 11 November 2008 (CET)
