Interesting idea...I would love to join such a guild, should it ever come to Itorunt or our allies. --The1exile 25 March 2006 14:36 (CET)

not good

I don't like the idea of duelling as a sport, sorry. It was never seen as a sport by the participants anytime in human history. And as a roleplaying tool it should be for defending your honour, etc.

Not quite what I had intended it for.

Dueling as a sport

I believe that the guild is using dueling solely because swordfighting matches (as in tournaments) are not supported by the game mechanic.

That's the entire point you don't go slashing a sharp sword at someone for sport. If you've never seen the wounds that swords or large knives can do, google a bit, then you'll understand why nobody in his right mind will take that risk "for fun". --Tom 23:12, 5 December 2006 (CET)
Duelings not alright, but people slashing at each other in tournaments is perfectly alright? The guild puts forward protection, hence why it only allows duels til first blood and why it charges monthly fees. The EIDA isn't the only guild that encourages dueling as a form of sport, there's atleast one other on the EI, and there's the ADA (Atamara Dueling Association) on Atamara. --Kag 23:18, 5 December 2006 (CET)
