Arch Priest Kagurati (later Duke of Tahgalez) was very much against this, because Medium wasn't required to step down from his Royal Treasurer position which went against King [[Twinblade Family#Scion the Skilled|Scion the Skilled's]] verbal rule that no noble shall hold more than one position.
