The Ryû Family is a relatively new family, coming from the deep reaches of the Pates mines, quickly grasping a strong hold in the Antoza Commonwealth, thanks to the firstborn son, Rekhyt. The Ryû Family is a relatively new family, coming from the deep reaches of the Pates mines, quickly grasping a strong hold in the Antoza Commonwealth, thanks to the firstborn son, Rekhyt. The younger brothers, Syaoran and Kurogane, chose to begin their careers in Redspan, being more rambunctious than Rekhyt. While being extremely proud of their "Guard of the Dragon" (more commonly heard as just "the Guard"), the brothers train their sword mastery constantly, and hope to someday win many tournaments for the honor of their family.

Rekhyt's chosen class is a bureaucrat, and he is the only one in his realm, making him an essential member. He was banned from the Antoza Commonwealth for asking King Corey to step down, and King Corey eventually lead the realm to destruction. He participated in the First Battle of Anacan, when he was still a member of the Commonwealth. However, he did not return to finish the takeover of Taop.
