The Ornate Coat of Minas Ithil came from the kingdom of Minas Ithil on the sunken island of Atamara. It was smuggled off that island by pirates after the coat itself had been stolen from the personal wardrobe of the king of Minas Ithil, Relkin Sypher. After that it was lost to history, kept in a treasury of some merchant for many years. Eventually that Merchants family fell upon hard times and their manor into disrepair. A few years after that, the adventurer Pendric was sent in to clear the dilapidated manor of undead. During his hunt the treasury was found bare save for some moth eaten garments. One stood out though, resistant to the wear of time in its splendor. He took the garment to a local sage and learned of its fabled history. It seems the coat had picked up some degree of arcane protection along the way.
