The Nightblade of Suffering is a roughly forged sword that glimmers with a cobalt-colored cutting edge. Except for the metallic blue sheen that seems to give the blade a lightening spark, the sword is a rather artless weapon that focuses instead on pure killing power. The pommel is a flat chunk of iron sufficient as a counterweight or a bludgeon and nothing more. The edge is razor sharp and a wide fuller runs the length of the blade as if it expects an artery of blood. A nasty weapon, its fearsome aspect comes from its complete lack of polish or decoration rather than any of the runes or dark gemstones usually added to make a blade look wicked.
