Religion of the Great Serpaent
Magna Serpaensism is the organized, and concerted effort of Ash Sea Island nobility to formally construct a church based upon worship of the Great Serpaent Magnus, who in ancient times created the nobility of the realm and charged them with the defense of the Ash Sea, and its Isles from those unholy and barbarous peoples who would threaten to sancitity of the waters.

Corvus
Corvus, the Raven: protector of souls. Servant of Magnus the Great Serpaent who is charged with perpetually chasing Glaux through the world. Was gifted with the ability to speak, and is often also utilized as the messanger of the Magnus. The knowledge and wisdom of the world was granted to Corvus following the Glaux's defection.
Vulpes
Vulpes, the Fox: trickster and muse. The sometime trickster and foil to Magnus who lacks any malevolence. Trickery and cunning have allowed Vulpes to be the ocassional ally of the Great Serpaent who utilizes Vulpes's abilities to track Lykos, and keep tabs on the world. She has been known to play both sides and in the past was punished for working for the Calamar in the earliest of days with an insatiable curiousity which often gets her into trouble.
Enemies and Traitors
Calamar
Calamar, the Giant Squid: ancient enemy of all. Ancient enemy of the deep, who constantly battles the Great Serpaent and is a threat to ASI. Capable of taking many forms, he has caused discord and chaos with the formation of many cults anti-thetical to Magnus and his order. Known to strike without warning, other names associated with him are Kraken, and Oegops.
Glaux
Glaux, the Owl: the usurper. Once a powerful servant of the Great Serpaent, it was the keeper of wisdom, and knowledge. Glaux sought to usurp the Great Serpaent's power in the world but was soundly defeated by Magnus and was forced to flee into the night sky. Is constantly hounded by Corvus, and is forced to feed upon rodents. Serves as Calamar's representative, and has been known to use lies and deceit to ill effect.
Lykos
Lykos, the Wolf: enemy of man. The first to befriend man. Lykos grew jealous as the Great Serpaent began to favor men over the wolf as protector of his kingdom. Now preys upon man and his dominion on the earth. Refuses to associate with Calamar and Glaux, but is constantly a threat.
